“A good choice when in the area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

We found the Inn to be a good place to stay on a recent winter trip to PA. First, it is simply a hotel. But it was clean. We got great service. Breakfast was outstanding. We got a top floor room overlooking the surrounding valley. It offered a beautiful winter view. The walls must be somewhat thin because we could hear our neighbors one night. But all in all, we had an enjoyable stay.

reserved a suite for new years eve as I always wanted to stay here for the views. View was great & downhill from there! At check-in, we were not told of any breakfast, nor how to get to our room (4th floor) so we wondered through the main area to find the elevator. Room is filthy including the excrement stain left on the toilet seat! Black mold is 6 inches high in the shower wall. it was windy & 20 degrees outside & the heat was turned off in our room--it took 2 hours fro it to warm up! If you want to save on heating -that's great, but, there is no reason when it is that cold out that someone could not have turned the heat on in the room when you have that room booked that day! Fireplace would have been nice, if you could see through the glass. And really???---a 30 year old blurry, 19 inch TV for a room that size? Also-- there are 3 bed sizes, full, queen and King, the bed was comfortable, the sheets & mattress pad that were 2 sizes too small were not, it was ridiculous, having to keep trying to pull the bedding over the mattress! We did see the breakfast and it was average & a nice setting.
This COULD be a beautiful place-- old world charm, beautiful views, but, as usual the "CHEAP" factor is there and it took it all away. Been here, done that, never again.

Located outside the busy part of Greensburg , just off Rt. 30. Easy access if driving or pulling a large unit, lower lot. Check in was fast and efficient, room - average size, modern and clean.
Breakfast area has plenty of tables with a very nice selection for a mid level Hotel. The price is far below other local Hotels but the quality is here. I found the Manager to be professional as well as willing to help with my needs..

Room Tip: This Hotel is far enough away from the road that noise should not be an issue in any room.

One of our rooms without heat....other had old broken TV.
Door banging and noise at 2:00 AM. Front desk advised
that walls are "paper thin"'.
Smoking and pet area combined.
CHOICE HOTEL line over rates this one.
Absentee owner/manager.
Nice town, but better stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel!

The good - great breakfast buffet and nice fenced in area for pets for a reasonable price. The bad was just about everything else. The room, large by any measure, was worn, tired and bleak. A prior visitor must have left his dog untended despite the rules against this practice as everything with wood was scratched or chewed.
The bathroom had a new vanity but no place to place your toilet articles. The tub fixtures were old with little water pressure. The bed was adequate but the pillows were old and the comfortor was thin without warmth or charm. The heater/air conditioner produced more noise than either heat or air, to the point that sleep was impossible. And as big as the room was, the TV was an old tube type, maybe 26 inches. Then, there was the noise from the smokers who used the patio next to our room all night, one deciding to call someone at 445AM.
There might be better rooms

Room Tip: Do not stay in room 313.

I was really surprised how nice the place was for the rate asked. The hallways could have the carpets cleaned, but the rooms were spacious. We had a (2 queen beds) room which included a fridge, microwave, coffee pot in room, Tv was the big older style TV in an attractive cabinet, desk, WIFI innernet connection. Nice comfy beds. The breakfast was very nicely arranged with an area that had the open concept. Oh and they also had 24/7 Juice and coffee, tea, etc available at the breakfast area!! Nice patio area in front of building to relax. It was not a fancy patio but was very nice to sit out on to eat breakfast in the morning sunshine.

Room Tip: Be sure you don't get a room with one of the spotlights that shine on the building that is right...

I read many of the reviews on Greensburg hotels and due to limited hotel choices ended up at the Inn. It was much better than I expected. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. The rooms were a good size. The grounds are beautiful and the entrance was decorated for October with pumpkins and corn stalks and flowers. There are fenced in areas for pets to run and various outdoor smoking areas. The room had a fridge and a microwave. Yes, the TVs are not flat screen but that did not matter to us. There is good internet and it is free. There is a nice breakfast and eating area. We had a couple minor housekeeping issues and I recommended to the manager that housekeeping needs a few tips. Manager was very open to those suggestions. I also think our room could have had better lighting available.
