We chose the Harrisburg East Campground for its proximity to Harrisburg where we have family and the fact that it was the only campground in the area which was open in mid-March at the end of this extremely snowy winter. The staff was very helpful in accommodating us near the restroom facility, as we did not want to risk freezing our RV's plumbing. The drive-through sites are level and nicely graveled, an excellent feature for when the ground is icy or thawing. Mature trees help dampen the considerable noise from the adjacent freeway, but I was thankful we were on the side of the campground opposite the freeway. We did not notice too much noise from the nearby airport, as we had feared. The bathhouse is not fancy but it does its job, and the staff cleaned it daily, even though there weren't many of us in the campground who were using it. The showers are pay, but it's only 25 cents for 10 minutes, which we found very reasonable. The playground needs serious updating -- several wooden items were rickety and downright dangerous! We discovered this while playing with our 3-year-old granddaughter, and I have a skin tear on my left hand from encountering an errant nail head from the playhouse structure while going down the slide. We weren't able to test out the pool, but if we're back in the summer, I can update. They have propane refills available, and the tent-only area with evergreen trees looks quite nice.
