My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in May. Very nice rooms. We stayed in room 7 which had a king sized bed in its own bedroom and had a living room as well. Like a small apartment. Very spacious. The owners and all the staff were very helpful and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Across the street from a beautiful lake, near some nice restuarants. Great place.

First review you have ever done and it was for us - thank you! That means so much. We are glad you liked room 7 - the king suite is a popular one! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your stay in the Pocono Mountains!

My husband and I stayed here last weekend and could not have been more pleased with our stay! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway at a great value. The accommodations were perfect-- including a spacious and very clean room with a comfortable queen bed. The location is convenient and possesses amazing views of the lake. The gift shop is a highlight as well. Lots of great lotions, jewelry, clothes, accessories and trinkets to drool over. Very impressed overall and looking forward to returning again, hopefully in the summer to take advantage of all that the lake and area offers.

Check in is 2 pm, we got there about 4 pm and was pleasantly greeted by one of the owners. At check-in we were told we could get 10% disc. at Ehrhardts,The Boat House, and other businesses, which was a nice surprise. We stayed in Room #2 which was 2 Queen size beds and it was "HUGE"! Very, very clean spacious, flat screen tv along with many cable channels, Microwave & small refridgerator. Our bed was very comfty, my older children complained a little about their bed but It felt good to me! The bathroom again was "HUGE" again, very clean! The room was also decorated so nicely, very warm and fuzzy feeling! You are located, literally directly across the street from Lake Wallenpaupak overlook. Continental breakfast was included and offered bagels, cereals, fresh danish and donuts, coffee, juice and milk. Very nice homey store offering local and unusual merchandise. The owners and the friendly woman that covered check-in/store were all very nice. If you are thinking of this place for the SUMMER you should book NOW! They are filling up very quickly!!!

My boyfriend and I took advantage of their ski and learn package, and I highly recommend it. The package provides a 2 night stay, 1 hour private lessons at Big Bear ski resort, and 2 days of ski rentals and lift tickets. We loved the resort, and our stay at the hotel was very comfortable. They gave us one of their biggest rooms (the first by the road). It had a very nice sitting area, and a large bed. It was clean, the shower was amazing, and the bathroom even had a heat lamp! It was also very quiet and we felt just at home which was perfect after a long day of skiing. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was good too. They didn't have a large assortment of choices, it was pretty standard. But I base my breakfasts off of the quality of the coffee and they hit the spot with that.

The only con was that both the heater and the bed made noises. The slightest movement made the bed creak, so I wouldn't say it was the most comfortable one I've slept on, but it wasn't horrible either. Also, the heater made noises on and off all night, which was a bit disrupting. I should say that I wasn't a big fan of the bed being right next to the door. I definitely felt safe and the town is safe too, but maybe because I kept getting woken up at odd hours of the night by the heater to stare right at the door, I felt just a bit uneasy.

Otherwise, loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful deal on a ski weekend!

Thank you for staying with us at East Shore Lodging! The Ski & Stay package is great! We've replaced the mattress in the room you stayed in so that should limit the noise from the mattress. We also adjusted the heater.

We hope East Shore Lodging finds you in your travels again!

All the best,

Bridget & Steve

This was my second stay at the Eastshore Lodge. I stayed in the Delaware room; very clean, big bed, rustic decor with modern conveniences such as a flat screen tv, frig and microwave. I enjoy the little things at hotels, so I noticed the updated books and magazines in the room. I imagine those would be great to read in the summer while enjoying the beautiful view of Lake Wallenpaupack across the street. I also appreciate their environmental efforts with recycling in the room and signs to remember to turn off lights and if you don't need your towel washed everyday:) thank you to the staff of Eastshore Lodge!

Spent two nights here this past month and had a very pleasant stay. Rooms were spacious & clean. Staff friendly & helpful. We stayed in a queen room for the first night & had arranged to upgrade to the king deluxe suite for the 2nd night as it wasn't available the first night. Both rooms were very nice, but if you can spring for it, the king deluxe suite is A LOT nicer! Also, light sleepers beware, the queen room we had (room 9 I think) had an incredibly noisy mattress. You literally could not roll over without it making a ton of noise. Overall, happy with our choice & would stay again.

Room Tip: If you can spring for it, the king deluxe suite is A LOT nicer!

Thank you for staying with us! We are glad you enjoyed the King Suite on the 2nd floor. Thank you for your comment on the bed in Room 9. We went ahead and replaced the mattress so that should help with the noisy mattress. We look forward to seeing you again!
