This was our first time at Woodloch Pines & it was a great experience. There is so much to do here. The activity sheet printed each day offered numerous options. We did lots! Trivia contests, simulated Horse racing, Family Feud, Tubing, Go Carts, Basketball contests, Swimming, nearby skiing and much more. The kids loved it. The food was great! Service outstanding. Everyone is SO friendly. We will return.

The overall resort is lovely in that the rooms are clean, but as has been noted, the room prices are high. It's not the ritz as there is not marble countertops and multiple phones in the bathroom, but you don't need that for it to be nice. Don't become an overly demanding guest but they do aim to please. Having read the history of Woodloch in the glossy book provided in our 4 bedroom house, I now understand the sense of friendliness and hospitality that permeates Woodloch. Every employee is uber-friendly...it must be part of the employee code as we were greeted at every turn (in the hallway by the guy vacuuming, walking the cold paths between activities) by staff which you a big, big hello. Not some modest head nod, a huge 'hello!' Unit came with plenty of extra towels. We had a maintenance problem in our rental home and staff was there within minutes to address the issue. We ate dinner at the clubhouse restaurant grill (downstairs)...it was not that pricey (sandwiches $15-18, entrees $23-30), the food was very good and the presentation was rather artistic. In terms of driving directions, follow them closely. It is easy to get lost. Be sure you are not in vacation mode and unaware of whether you are at Woodloch Pines (the hotel area with all the activities) vs. Woodloch Springs (the rental homes and country club area.) On a dark night in a snowstorm, the directions take on greater urgency. If you're coming from CT, the Rowland Cafe used as a landmark?...blink and you'll miss what looks to be a closed establishment. The gas station on Rt 6 where you turn right onto 434...fill up there. There is not another sign of commercial civilization between that gas station and the resort. However, if your drive takes you through Hawley to get to Woodloch, you win the jackpot and pass through civilization (restaurants, grocery stores, drugstores!) Whereas coming from the New England area, there is no grocery store between exit 46 on rte 84 and the resort (which surprised us.) There is a grocery store on property (the Inn) but it's small with very limited brand variety. We would return here, but given the housing costs, we might explore other options as well. Finally, it was cold and there was a nice outdoor fire pit to warm us up as we waited in line for the go carts...which was a great touch of hospitality.

travel99boston-

We appreciate the detailed review of your stay with us. We strive to treat every guest as if they were company in our very own homes, and our staff accomplishes just that. We always want to provide an exceptional and memorable stay for each and every guest.

Our location is very rural, and we encourage any first time guest to use the directions provided on our website and with every confirmation letter as these are the overall best routes to get to us.

We also see you were able to take advantage of dining at the Grille Room, which is very nice option for any guests looking for a relaxed atmosphere and great American fare. We hope to see you with us again!

I have been going to Woodloch since I'm 12. I have so many great memories, too many to write about. My family and I look forward to going to Woodloch every year. Some years, I'm fortunate to be able to go 2 times a year. The Woodloch family & staff are wonderful and friendly - they will meet your every need. The accommodations are beautiful and the food too good. I always overeat. My favorite breakfast is scandinavian pancakes & sausage. They have organized activities throughout the day & night, or if you prefer, you can just relax by the pool or lake. It is an all inclusive great time.

I just returned from Woodloch on 12/29. When booking this trip, I was hesitant because I am not a camping kind of girl. After just a few hours at Woodloch, I realized I shouldn't have been worried. This place is great for families. We swam, did arts and crafts, went snow tubing, participated in ginger bread wars etc... Wonderful memories memories were created.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite. It was spacious and very clean. We even had a kitchen to prepare snacks and lunch. The facility is very clean and the staff is friendly and kind.

It was a perfect 3 night trip. I would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon!!

I have been enjoying Woodloch Pines's for 43 years! My first visit was as a five year old! There has been no greater joy then returning to Woodloch with my own children. My family feels right at home. We are greeted by the very compentent staff each time we enter the dining room. The accomodations are comfortable and impecably clean! The food is delicious and plentiful! The activities at Woodloch remind me of being on a cruise ship. One could say "Woodloch is a cruise on land". After our recent visit, my husband asked our children if they thought they would be bringing their children to Woodloch some day - the answer was, "yes-definately, we like it better than Disney World!". What more can I say?

Room Tip: All of the rooms are very comfortable. Woodloch has recently upgraded the bedding which makes for an extremely restful sleep. Even the lower priced rooms, although dated with the notty pine walls, are a comfortable bargain.
