Our family stayed two nights while visiting the park. This was our first time at The Hotel Hershey. Sure wish we could have stayed longer. The outdoor seating area with fantasitc views and the outdoor pool were top notch. Really hope to be back one day!

From the moment I checked in, I could feel that the staff really cared about my satisfaction. Every single staff person I encountered smiled at me and engaged me with genuine congeniality.

My room had everything I needed to be comfortable: a good selection of pillows, comfy mattress, coffee maker, well-equipped bathroom.

We dined in a few of their restaurants; each was very good. The Harvest restaurant has pretzel-crusted fried calamari - - - highly recommended!

The spa is lovely. There is a very nice lunch buffet for use of spa guests only. Very nice.

Very comfortable hotel, definitely posh, but it has a bit of that Disneyworld feel in that there is definitely a lot of traffic thru the hotel. Same for the hotel restaurants. We ended up at the Harvest which seemed the most comfortable and coincidentally had the best menu. No question that the staff is very friendly, the grounds very nice, but if you are looking for something a little more quiet like the Inn on Biltmore or the Grove Park Inn, it's not quite that. This is a destination for young families to explore and see the town and the park.

Since we had 9 people, we stayed in one of the cottages. It was amazing. The food was great, the cottage really nice. The service excellent. The pool was excellent. The marshmallow roasting a nice touch. The sports and games facility was good too.

Returning to Hershey for our second stay at their Woodside Cottages is the ultimate in pampering. The cottages are in a woodland setting, located behind the historic hotel. The rooms are beautifully furnished, spacious, with bathrooms that include rain forest showers, deep bathtubs, double vanities and TV's. Of course, there is cocoa bean bar soap! Each room has its own private porch with inviting rocking chairs. Sitting on the porch, at night, with a glass of wine and listening and seeing the gentle rain was so relaxing and renewing. Sports options include a putting green, bocce and shuffleboard, basketball and tennis. There are numerous fitness trails surrounding the hotel. The outdoor pool is large with water slides with an adults only area which includes a hot tub. Poolside food and drink services was a plus. The staff was extremely personable and accommodating to any needs. Dining options abound within the complex. Complimentary tickets to the Hershey Gardens provided a pleasant escape with the roses in full bloom and the butterfly house abounding with butterflies, filling the senses. This is definitely a class resort and well worth the cost.

Room Tip: The cottages located closest to the hotel are a bit noisier because you can hear, but not see the ac...

Recently spent a week there, it started off with a wedding on Saturday and then relaxing with sight seeing the rest of the week. The meals were great, if there was ever anything a miss they took care of it right away. While of course you have your chocolate themed environments there is still a lot of other things to do. Golfing, the park, visiting other local areas of interest. Your right in the middle of everything with out having to hear all the noise associated with a hotel right up against the main strip or highway. It is not only romantic but also exquisite.

Green Features: I would advise that they do not actually use the cocoa mulch as the caffeine in it is known to be toxic to animals especially dogs, as well as others. While it works well with weeds they need to care about the animals as well. I would recommend finding a good vermicompost.
