We like the preview night, the mix of rides throughout the park for all ages, the rides were great too, the family atmosphere and the water park. We did NOT like the expense of the food or lockers- the LONG waits for food and rides ( staff moves very slowly), We estimate we wasted 4 hours waiting to buy lunch and waiting on line for the Ferris wheel - that's just crazy! the spacing of park areas ( very long walks to get from one place to another ) without any form of transportation and the lack of seating areas.
Overall, we enjoyed the park and will return but with new strategies - bring lunch in a cooler, avoid slow moving lines, and wear roller skates.

Bought discount tickets online and took advantage of the free preview plan where you can come for free the night before your visit. Got 10 rides between Lightning Racer and Wildcat in 2.5 hours on my preview visit.

Got a late start the next day, which was a very hot day with large crowds but most of the lines weren't too long with my longest wait being about 25 minutes and average wait was lower than that. They seemed a little understaffed and were rather slow at loading the coasters. The fast track (pay to skip the lines) slowed things down and many times the coasters would go with empty rows when no one was waiting for the fast track.

The park itself is deceivingly large and there's enough terrain that you feel it by the end of the day. I highly recommend Lightning Racer, the racing wooden coaster. It's fun, filled with air time, twists and turns plus the line is short and moves because there are four trains on the coaster. I took 18 rides on between my visits and the nighttime ones were the best, especially the time I closed my eyes the entire ride in the back of the train. Fun!

One complaint I have is that the smoking areas are right along the midway so you can't really avoid the smoke. The food prices are high but that's expected.

The souvenir soda bottle is a good deal if you get a lot of soda. It's $9 and refills are 1.05. Parking is $12, lower than most big theme parks. If you're into craft beer, Troegs brewery is a half mile from the park.

Visited hershey on a Sunday and Monday. Stayed at hershey lodge. Park was clean and very friendly staff. Much better than great adventure as far as atmosphere goes. We were able to get into the park an hour earlier which we took advantage of. My kids were able to ride all the big rides by noon. We rode sky rush, super doper looper, and the comet multiple times Then we went over to Reese's ride which is right in front of the rope at 9:50. We exited the ride , rope dropped and we were off to the other coasters. Hit ferinheight , the wild cat, and the big wooden coaster in the back. We were out of the park by 1 both days. We went back in at 5:30 and closed the park on Monday No sense in staying during the heat of the day. The park really starts filling up at noon. Get in early avoid the lines.
