We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights in July. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The accommodations were very nice, and clean! The king room had plenty of space for all our things and our pack-n-play.

The complimentary transportation to the parks was wonderful, and we never had to wait very long for a bus. A wonderful stay for our young family. Our daughter especially loved the characters who occasionally visit in the lobby.

We had a nice stay. The free Hershey bars at check in was a nice touch. The lobby was very nice. The room was average size and clean. They had a few on site activities for the children and Hershey characters walking around. Cool hotel if you are in Hershey.

We stayed at the Lodge for two nights, we had two rooms since we were a party of 6. The shuttle service was on time, no complains. The hotel is clean and excellent. We decided to stay there for the convenience of the shuttle, also to get the Hershey experience. If I had to do it again, I would stay for half the price at other hotels and pay for the preferred parking at the Park. I would rather spend that money on souvenirs, games and fine dining.

The only Hershey experience encountered at the hotel was given Hershey bars at check-in. That is it! Other than that, you are at the Park for the entire day, you will go back to the hotel to sleep. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant was very disappointing, it was more like a cheap diner. The activities they say like making s'mores is not free, you have to buy the s’mores packet ($9) .
The mini golf on site is very basic. I thought it would have a nice theme. The indoor pool was very nice and clean, but didn't use any pools over there.
Maybe this hotel is worth it during other seasons, when the water park at Hersey is closed.

Room Tip: Reese Section H, Close to everything, including the indoor pool. The Shuttle will drop you in front...

Wanted a big room to accommodate two adults, two older teens and a toddler in one space. Reception staff rose to the occasion and helped us upgrade upon arrival and went above and beyond to make it happen. The towers are quiet and clean, and a partial Pennsylvania suite was beautiful and perfect for us, even though it really stretched our budget..... Everyone agrees this was one of the best family vacations we have had, from the hotel, the room, the food (we ate at the Forebay, dessert at the beanery) the shuttle (convenient and fairly timely) and the overall experience. Thank you Hershey Hodge for some of the best family memories, which is exactly what we were looking for.

We travel to Hershey at least once or twice a year. We love the Hershey Lodge! Rooms are comfortable. Always have activities for the kids...during the summer months anyway. Great pools, indoor and outdoor. Great restaurants, right on the premises...although I wish they were open just a little bit later. If you close the Park at night, like we do, it's difficult to make it back to the hotel and eat before they close...Although the Bear's Den is open until midnight (I think.) Overall, great place to stay with your family!!

In July, my sister and I spent a week at the Hershey Lodge. We really enjoyed it. The rooms were extremely clean, as was the entire property. We attended a quilt convention. The convention facilities were good.

One unusual thing was being evacuated for a possible tornado... perhaps there needs to be additional training for emergency events.

We ate at most of the restaurants, which are reviewed separately. We used the pool, which was very nice, except they close the outdoor pool too early. It would have been enjoyable to have the outdoor pool as an adults only pool after 9pm. Just great time to enjoy the evening in the water.

The staff was all extremely helpful (although they were a little untrained for the evacuation). Many of the staff, (Tanner, the housekeeper that did 5th floor tower rooms near the elevator, the bartender in Forebay and others) went out of their way to make sure we were happy.

Eat at Forebay, it is worth it, all the food we tried was delicious.
Eat at the Hershey Grill, sitting outside on the patio near the pond was so relaxing. They make a good Cosmopolitan too. the chicken margarita sandwich was really delightful, as were all the salads.
The Cocoa Beanery Lattes could be a little stronger in coffee.

All in all, the lodge resort was a good choice for us. Clean, comfortable, well decorated surroundings, a good bed and nice staff!

Room Tip: There are no real views. We requested the tower to be near the convention area. Our view was over...

First, make sure that your room is not in one if the motor rooms, unless you are ok with that. The lodge is a converted motor lodge, so some rooms have parking right at the door. A little scary for kids. Stay in the towers. The Hershey Hotel is far better, in terms of everything including pool and service. I will make one point, there was an emergency in the lobby, the staff froze. My wife and I jumped in, as did a few other guests. So, I would question the staff training, but otherwise it is ok for a night or two.
