Overall, our experience at the Hershey Lodge was a wonderful one. At check in, we were greeted with a smile. Just walking into the hotel, you feel comfortable. It was after check in was our issue. When we booked the room on line - We requested a room with 2 queen beds that was handicap accessible. Since we couldn't check in till after 4:00 - we decided to go to Chocolate World and do some other things till the room was ready. We didn't return till about 9:00 to the hotel. At that time, we got our room key. When we entered the room, we realized they gave us the wrong room - we had 1 king bed and not 2 queen beds. We went back down to check in and requested another room. They guy who's name I forget, was not very accomodating. He knew our reservation requirements were. He put us in a room that was not handicap accessible. After having to call the main desk and argue my point of having a handicap room, finally a girl named Tara helped us in getting a suite that was more accomodating to my sons needs eventhough it wasn't truly handicap accessible, we made it work.

Stayed at the Hershey Lodge as part of package, bringing grandchildren to Hershey Park. Package of room and tickets certainly helps with costs. The facility and Park have changed a lot in the 10 years since I last visited. The Lodge is extremely comfortable with exceptionally friendly service -- the service overall in my opinion is fully on a par with Disney standards and in some ways, maybe even better. Food quality is excellent, both in the Lodge and the Park. We plan to visit again, and stay for a longer period of time.

Unlike, the Hotel Hershey, this facility will let you have 3 kids and 2 parents in a room together. However -- no cots. Small room. Three pools, but they are not large and can be far away from the rooms. Grounds seem dated. Lobby is large and has a warm lodge feel. Several restuarants, but overpriced. Convenient coffee shop for light breakfast. Everybody gets a candy bar upon check-in, there may be an occasional Giant Kiss roaming the lobby, and there is a free shuttle to HersheyPark. In the summer, though, the place is crawling with people, there is a long wait to return to the hotel on the shuttle when the park closes, and the price ($289) is too high. If you have kids (but not more than 2), stay at Hotel Hershy; otherwise, pick up a Hershy bar at the 7-11 and drive yourself to the park ad save a couple hundred bucks.

Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff are always helpful, pleasant, and competent. My family visits Hershey, Pa. every year and always stay at the Lodge. This year we took my elderly parents for the first time and they had a wonderful time. My mother has alzheimers and was treated with respect, kindness, and patience. My son has cerebral palsy and has always been treated likewise. The rooms are spotless and very clean. We always request and receive a handicap room which has a large and easily accessible bathroom. The beds are extremely comfortable. The recreational activities are within easy access and the shuttles are very clean and timely. The restaurants have something for everyone. Our personal favorite is Lebbie Lebkicher's. It is buffet style, or you can order from a menu, but the food is excellent and the choices are many, and there is not generally a long waiting line so you can get in and out. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at the Lodge.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. You overpay for the Hershey name. The pools were great for PA pools (two outdoor and one indoor). The hotel is very large and it took 15 minutes to walk to the lobby from our room. Room is standard small box with small bathroom. NO WIRELESS INTERNET IN ROOMS!!! We were told that it was available and brought our computer to search out reviews for things to do, places to eat, hidden gems. Spotty wireless in lobby. Multiple calls to "tech support" were useless. Staff didn't care one bit. This is the 21st century I can't fathom why this isn't available. Staff was helpful but very cool. Restaurants were grossly overpriced, especially for breakfast. We ate elsewhere! For the money we paid, I would recommend finding a newer hotel nearby where you can get more bang for your buck and 21st century amenities.

I stayed at the Hershey Lodge with my 12 year old daughter and my mother while we were attending the Quilting Odyssey in July 2010. My mother took a quilting class while my daughter and I just enjoyed the Lodge, especially the pools, the fitness center, and the restaurants. Had a great dinner the first night in Lebby's. Also had breakfast at the Beanery and lunch at the Bear's Den. Always great and can't wait to go back.

Nice place to visit & bring the family. Noisy in season for obvious reasons; lots of kids running around the place. Great value for a family. Good Clean fun. Atmosphere is relaxing though
