Description: Voted "Best New Restaurant" by Harrisburg Magazine in 2009, Piazza Sorrento is a modern Italian restaurant based on the "Old World" Italian recipes of the owner's family back in Italy. The Bolognese sauce they grew up on and the tradition of family is the cornerstone of the Piazza Sorrento dining experience. Dedicated to providing the finest in service, food, and wine at a fair and competitive price, Piazza Sorrento makes regional and classic Italian cuisine using premium local ingredients while keeping the history of the dish and region intact. Piazza Sorrento not only provides the best in authentic Italian cooking this side of the Atlantic, but also believes that all patrons, whether adults or children, should be welcomed like one big family - even those with certain dietary requirements. That is why Piazza Sorrento is widely known for their extensive Gluten Free menu, another reason patrons routinely drive over an hour or more to dine in relative ease and safety.

“I used to be a Fenicci's guy....”

Don't let the outside of this joint fool you. Yeah it's in a strip mall, yeah it's next to a convenience store, yeah it's unassuming. Go inside, order the calamari. Have some hand made pasta. I was blown away by the gorgonzola, steak and pasta dish. The pasta took me back to the days my granny made home made noodles. They offer a gluten free menu too. Service is always awesome. Just go....now. You won't regret it.

“Amazing Sample Dish”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014 via mobile

I ordered the sample plate (Chicken parmesan, chicken fettuccine and lasagna). It was great. A taste of all of my favorites. There was so much food that I had to get a to-go box. My friend had the muscles and clams. Yum yum! Fast friendly service.

“Elegant Pizza Night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

Piazza Sorrento is located directly across from the Hershey Med Center and is a real gem when it comes to combining "date night" with comfort food! We wanted pizza and beer the other night, but we just didn't want the atmosphere that you find in most pizza shops. We were also in the mood for a 'different' pizza. Sorrento's was great; we had one of their seasonal pizzas -- the summer pizza -- which was made with fresh vegetables, cheese and just the right amount of sauce. We chose to eat in the dining room rather than the 'pizza shop' side, and had a wonderful sit-down style meal. The pizza crust was thin and done just right (for my taste) hitting that blend of chewy/crunch crust. The ingredients were obviously fresh.. the taste was remarkable! Topping off the evening was the service... fantastic!! Our waitress was attentive and engaging, and made for an overall wonderful evening. If I were to offer one criticism, the beer selection was adequate. While Sorrento's had several draft beer options, the choices were just ok. Definitely recommend Sorrento's!

“Lovely quiet bar with great food!”

We love sitting at the bar, eating and having a few drinks. The menu is simple Italian with great homemade pastas, sauces and desserts. The staff is fantastic! Must have the scallops and fried ravioli!
