“Excellent Value, Convenient, Clean, Friendly Service”
Reviewed 26 August 2009

Exceptional value. All hotels in this area can be quite pricey. I did my research and this is our 2nd stay, the first being in 2007. Very clean, friendly helpful staff, convenient 5-7 minutes from Hershey Park entrance, 1 minute from local restaurants- supermarkets, K-mart [ lest you forget an item from home] . This is a moderately priced hotel for the area. My kids loved the pool and in our experience it was not crowded. The breakfast is ample and FREE, we enjoyed making our own waffles. Had all the basics of cereals- muffins-donuts-fruit-hard boiled eggs etc. The mornings can be busy at the breakfast area. This will be the case for all hotels as people get ready for a day at the park. A self-serve breakfast will be far more relaxing and take less time/ money than other places. I liked being able to get the kids ready and fed with such speed and ease. My suggestion is to take down your room tray and let your kids have a quiet breakfast in bed if its busy. Give yourself time in the morning to get ready for the park. Arrive at Hershey 15-20 minutes before gates open. Go directly to the area you wish to do rides. You can get to do a ride 2 or 3 times with little to no line. If the park is overly crowded in the day it will usually slow at night. You may leave and return with no charge, get your hand stamped and keep your parking voucher. This Hotel and Park make for a great 'Staycation' for those families wanting to save money. { comparatively speaking vs. flying to Florida/Disney} If you are able to drive to this area I found it to be a wonderful kid-friendly trip. It was an easy drive from Westchester County NY. If you are looking for a reasonable get away I highly recommend the Comfort Inn at the Park and Hershey Park. Do your research, have a plan for park attractions, and enjoy. This is a great overall value. I will be giving testimonials to friends and family, we had a wonderful stay and will return again next year.

My husband, 14 year old son, and I recently stayed here for a weekend (Fri. - Sun.) The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel is minutes away from Hersheypark. There are numerous places to eat very close to the hotel - Applebees, Bob Evans, Pizza Hut, and Panera. Those are the good things.
The pool was crowded even late at night, and the chlorine level was high, enough to burn your eyes a little when you first walked in and subsequently went in the water. It took two washings of my bathing suit to get the smell out! It was very crowded, and the elevators can be quite slow. Free breakfast was a mob scene, with too few places to sit once it gets crowded. Basic offerings - nothing special: 2 kinds of cereal (Fruit Loops and Bran Flakes), hard-boiled eggs, bagels, danish, and waffles. You had to physically check out - they did not slip the bill under your door, as so many other hotels do to facilitate an easy check out. There were so many people checking out on Sunday and one clerk to do it all. They tacked on a room safe fee, which I promptly asked them to remove. She did it, but didn't seem pleased. But here's the height of the experience - this plain, Comfort Inn charges $250 a night!!! I guess they justify their high price due to its proximity to the Park, but come on, it's a Comfort Inn - not the Hershey Lodge or Hotel!!! I stayed in a two bedroom, king-sized suite at a brand new hotel in Columbus Ohio, for almost half the price on the same trip!!
Next time I'll look for lodging further down the road, even if it means I have to drive 20-30 min. to get to Hersheypark. Perhaps I'll find better prices!

My wife and I came to Comfort Inn with our 7 year old. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and willing to help out or answer a question. The rooms were well kept, we did get a drip from our bathroom ceiling after the first 3 days???. The breakfast buffet was OK, nothing to get excited over. Cereal, bagels, danish, boiled eggs and "make your own waffle". If you stay a while you'll go out for breakfast as much as you eat the buffet. Daughter loved the pool, it was clean and well kept too. All in all, for the price I'd come back, if we were to venture back to Hershey.

Just got back from vacation at Hershey Park, PA with the family. After careful review of the above hotel on Trip Advisor, we were very happy with our stay and we will definitely come back again! The Continental Breakfast was good. Simple, but just right and the hotel is close to all attractions, restaurants and other retailers as well. You won't be disappointed!

Spent three nights here in late June while visiting HersheyPark. Previous reviews have mentioned that you need to be careful finding the place, there are a couple of tricky turns, but that's a benefit, as the hotel is really off the road by itself and that adds to the quiet. There are several chain restaurants nearby and a very convenient grocry store.

Everyone mentions the ducks and the geese, some quite aggressive, but they are amusing, once they get out of the entrance road!

The first thing we noticed was the aroma of chocolate in the lobby, and they seemed to always have that going, which was amusing.

Room was very well appointed, comfortable and clean, great refrigerator and microwave, wireless internet, lots of towels, etc. As we've found at several Comfort Inns, the under the window air conditioner tends to blow the curtains all around, so we had to secure them once again (Hello, Design Department?), but this is minor.

Breakfast was plentiful, if a bit boring, same food every day, but the make your own waffles everyone seems to like, and they keep the place very clean. Could use more seating, but that seems to be a common complaint.

Service was friendly and attentive, and would definitely recommend this hotel - lots of families, so a bit noisy, but there's no better location.

We just spent a night at the Comfort Inn at Hershey while spending some time at teh area Hershey attractions. What a good value! The room was spacious and very clean. The fridge and microwave in the room were cost savers on our trip (and for storing recently bought chocolate!).

The hotel let us check in early and we took advantage of the big pool. It was very clean and a lot of fun. THe hotel breakfast was BIG for continental, and included waffle stations. And don't let the kids miss out on feeding the ducks. Our nine year old loved watching the momma duck lead her ducklings all around the lot.

There are a lot of families here, so not recommended for couples travelling unless you like kids a lot. But for those visiting Hershey, this is very conveniently located VERY close to the park and right on a major highway access. We are very glad we chose this hotel.
