“Nice stay for a good price”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

Hotel is clean, the price is reasonable, the breakfast was hot and plenty of selection. They also have a pancake machine rather than the typical messy waffle machine. It was a hit. The pool was ok, a little cloudy and the hot tub looked really stained from hard water. Location is really close to Hershey Park, a Kmart, grocery and restaurants. I recommend checking out the Soda Jerk Diner especially if traveling with kids.

I travel a a lot with my work and i have to say this was really a disappointment. I chose this hotel based on the reviews of others and maybe it was just our room (101) but our room was terrible. Outdated - The carpet was moist, the toilet seat was broken, the paint in the bathroom was cracked, the exhaust vent must not have been working, the toilet paper holders were broken, tiles were cracked, rust on the lav legs. The towels were close to thread bare as well as the sheets. They have the old heating/cooling system and the carpet in the halls were buckled as well. We were wondering if they'd had a flood recently and didn't pull the carpets. I really couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend while attending a competition for our church children at Hershey Lodge. It is very close to Hershey Park and Hershey Lodge but significantly more cost effective. The rooms were clean and in very good shape. The pool area was small but worked for the kids. The breakfast that is inclluded in the price of the room was very good. They had fresh pancakes, eggs, sausage, and other hot items as well as continental breakfast type items. We asked at the desk for an area for our children to practice their drama presentation and they allowed us to use a meeting room on the lower level. They were very accommodating.

This hotel is OK - nothing special. I stayed in room 211 - it's pretty dated but the bed was comfortable. The room didn't meet my cleanliness standards (it was pretty dusty and the carpet could definitely use a cleaning). This hotel, at least for my room, still uses the old fashioned heating and cooling systems where you set it to high or low cool or heat and then have to get up and change it as it gets too hot or too cold. There is also a train close by (freight) so if you are a light sleeper be sure to put your air on - or at least the fan.

The breakfast was pretty good - fresh pancakes along with lots of hot and cold foods. Coffee was decent and you could get real half and half instead of the little cups.

It's right off the highway, close to a variety of restaurants so it's easy to find dinner.

Room Tip: There is a first and second floor - if elevator noise or the ice machine noise bothers you, ask for...

This hotel is great for a trip to the Hershey attractions. It is near everything. It is dog friendly with no added fees. There are some small grassy areas for a dog walk. Breakfast had a nice variety that was hot and fresh. The hotel staff are very nice. Only problem we had was with hallway noise most of the night. Kids were playing in the hall at all hours. Despite that, I would definitely be back.

Stayed 1 night on way to CT from DC, stopped in Hershey April 15. I saw a dirty, run down hotel. NOT worth the 123/nt +tax they were charging!!! NEEDS renovation. Dirty/stained pool area, bathroom, room. The worst part? From my room, I could hear a freight train, directly outside, going by about every 15 minutes ALL NIGHT LONG!! In addition, there was tons of adjacent/above room noise- toilets flushing, people talking, I could hear their conversations. We had no sleep. I feel bad for the staff working here, they seemed nice, but I wish someone else had posted here so I didn't have to endure that stay. Therefore, I have to write this....people depend on these reviews.

I called expedia, they called the hotel and the hotel did give me a credit, which is greatly appreciated.

Oh, and 1 more thing, April 15th the amusement park wasn't even open during the week... and still the $123 rate! Also, Chocolate World was under renovation, and not worth going IMO. At least we avoided NYC traffic. I guess the only place to stay in Hershey is the Hershey Hotel, it's not all that much more considering the differences, although I'd wonder if that is overpriced as well. Holiday Inn Express was within 10 minutes, but not beautiful or a great spot. Hershey doesn't offer much for places to eat either... at least there's a Chipotle opening soon to help with that. Houligans was just ok for us, too greasy. Red Robin, no better than McD's, but much higher priced. The Panera nearby is a nice one, though, well stocked, clean, good management.

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights/3 days for her PSATS convention. It was clean, and fresh smelling. The free breakfast was good[they didn't have a microwave, though]; and the pool and spa tub were just right. The price was nice---and we will definitely stay there again.
