It was out standing! The guide was very informative. We will bring a larger motorcycle group next spring to the museum. This is a great day trip and history visit. All in all it is a WOW! Al Irvin former Huntingdon resident.

Fantastic Museum that is housed in 3 very large, modern and air conditioned buildings. I had totally forgotten about some of the items displayed, walking through and looking at everything sure did bring back memories, it's well worth the small $6.00 enterance fee. The staff was very polite and friendly as well.

Stopped here while we were in Huntingdon. When we heard that there were over 40,000 items, we thought it may be like some of the places on American Pickers! Everything is displayed nicely that you can look at it and show kids how things evolved. My oldest son was fascinated with old radios as a child and my youngest likes guns. The first building had a room for each of them! The camera room was extensive...had fun telling them about having to buy Magic Cubes for our old cameras! Mr. Isett was with us during part of the tour...he is fascinating to talk to. this spot is truly a gem!

Isett Acres is a private museum and contains the owner's vast collections of everything from fishing rods, depression glass, dolls, radios, the contents of old general stores, a church window - just to name a few items. Some people have criticized the displays for not being set up "professionally" enough, but they provide lots of fun for the whole family just the way they are.
Great grandparents can talk about the use of ice boxes, grandparents point to their favorite record players, parents laugh at the clunky computers and the kids just love the toy collection.
The first exhibit hall is a little cramped, but the other 2 are spacious and easy to handle for people in wheel chairs or larger family groups. The hours are very extensive for a small museum like that (Monday - Saturday 8 - 5 p.m., Sunday noon - 5 p.m.) and the admission is affordable ($6 for adults, $4 for children). We went there for Mother's Day and were impressed with our very knowledgeable guide who shared our son's interest in collecting Hess trucks. The owner, Mr. Isett, seems to be very much involved in running the museum and bid us a hearty welcome. There is no food available, but the museum is located in a perfect spot for a tailgate picnic.

Sitting on a hill above downtown Huntingdon, this museum is full of objects from the past. A fascinating collection of cars, household items, toys, memorabilia, business equipment, electronics and much more housed in 3 buildings. I took the guided tour and spent hours looking at everything. You can spend as little or as much time as you want and the guides are great. If you enjoy delving into the past you will love this museum as much as I did.
