“Nice hotel”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

This was a good choice for the event, but far from the beach and event activities. The ambiance is nice but it is a bit old. Nice to have secure parking and not have to leave vehicles on the street. Breakfast is ok with a couple of choices.

Stayed here one night before heading to our rental. We liked the fact the parking was right in front of the building in a gated area.
Rooms are basic, nothing special but have AC which was nice after a log day of travel.
Staff were nice, really nothing to complain about.

PROs: The parking is just outside the rooms complex, which is built around the parking. The hote and parking is safe, having somebody 24 hours for security. The rooms are just about okay, small, but come with airconditioning. The staff is helpful. It was possible to cancel one reserved night without payment, which was really nice.

CONs: For the price of the rooms, could be delivered more. Vaue for money isn't so big, but also depends on the 'for some reasons' touristy town (which I think isn't nice at all).

I stayed for 2 nights, downstairs room.

Location is good - quiet and an easy walk to the beach and downtown.

My room was clean, but not comfortable, and in need of updating.

The staff were friendly, most of the time!

Overall value for money was average.

We payed a little more for this hotel than other accommodations in SJDS. Just under $30 each for the two of us per night ($56 US total). However, we were happy to pay so much if it meant having hot water, AC, and privacy. Because of the AC, there were no bugs (save for one spider). The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Security supervised all night. They did question us when we had a friend come hang out for a few hours in the room - my guess is because you have to pay a bit more for additional people, but it's nice to know that security is tight!
Breakfast is included from 7 - 10 am.
SJDS is a party town, but we were happy to have fun at the party hostels and then retreat back to quiet, temperature controlled, soft and comfortable beds!
The location is fine - not right in the mix of things but just on the edge of the action. Any farther out and it would be in a less touristy (read: safe) area, but we could easily walk anywhere and feel comfortable in the streets at all times.

This by far looked like the nicest place to stay in the city. The place was clean, had hot water, free breakfast, and a friendly staff. Whatever is behind the hotel was extremely noisy and it was hard to sleep.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in middle January. The hotel was great value and we were happy we stayed there. $35/night private room with bathroom. Located in the Center of town (off the beach, but safe), it was conveniently located for food and other supplies. Not much atmosphere as most other guests were couples and Middle Aged travellers. Very friendly staff and had an awesome breakfast included with the room charge. Internet was relatively fast and the rooms were very clean and spacious. Not much available for tour booking but that's easy to find 50m outside the front doors. Overall this is a place I would happily stay at again.
