Description: This is the largest and one of the oldest restaurants in San Juan del Sur. It is the most popular restaurant serving traditional Nicaraguan beach fare. Located right on the beach! Full service, full bar. Fabulous sunsets!

The service started off a little poor but the food made up for it! Every dish at our table looked amazing and everyone said it was great. The lobster was awesome and extremely tasty. The view is beautiful and the food was great! Definitely the best restaurant on the area.

Very clean restaurant with fast service and great seafood. Everything is quite fresh. The ceviche festival is soooo good.. you are sitting right by the beach.
Lobster is fresh and cheap. We had lunch here twice and really liked it.

Even with increased prices for Easter time, this place had seafood that was well worth the cost. Very busy - but nice view on the beach. The lobster was incredible.

Food is probably the most expensive I've seen-almost American prices. Food is good.
I'm a little bitter because after throwing down the plastic on a huge bill, we realized that we forgot to see if a gratuity was included. We asked the waiter, he said it was voluntary. We Asked to recheck the bill and waited and waited. Finally, I asked to speak with the manager and the bill appeared and it showed that the gratuity was included.
Wasn't impressed with this episode of dishonesty.

The waiter was not dishonest. Tips ARE voluntary. What is different here than your country is that most restaurants in Nicaragua include a 10% tip on the bill. It's voluntary in that you can refuse to pay it and there's no problem. Customs are different from country to country and even though you may not agree with this form of managing tips, I assure you that it is done all over the country. I'm sorry you misinterpreted the waiter and thought he was being dishonest. He told you the truth.

Great food and even better prices. Right on the beach, with views of the setting sun. Food in Nicaragua is simple for the most part but fresh and very tasty. Our group had seafood and steak and no one was disappointed. A word of warning, servings were very generous in most of the restaurants we ate in while on our trip on Nicaragua, to the point that we started sharing meals. Perhaps not an issue for the younger crowd, who may be hungry after a full day of surfing.
