I dont know where to start but here we go. We arrived in San Juan after our first 3 wonderful days in Granada and the owner of this place who we had been speaking to and had more than implied that she would be there was nowhere to be found. In her place was a "surfer" chick with a laid back attitude. She looked completely bewildered about our arrival and once i reminded her she then dug deep down and recollected knowing about us. We explained that our party had dwindled to two people and she offered to rent out the other rooms; and after looking at the place we were more than interested to let her do so. The three rooms have very poor mattresses, the sheets do not fit the beds; this will be obvious when you sit on one and the corners pop up and "poof" now you have no sheet. We were left two old mis-matched towels and a twin sheet to cover my wife and myself at night??? This was the extent of the linens provided. The floors were still dirty and hadn't been swept, the utensils are in old plastic containers on the counter and there was an extra mattress leaning on the wall in the living/dining room. In the hallway there was a massive framed map that was in the way, i guess they forgot to hang it. There are holes in the...I dont know where to start but here we go. In the hallway there was a massive framed map that was in the way, i guess they forgot to hang it. There are holes in the wall, the shower caddy is completely rusty and gross looking, and there is mold on the shower curtains. the internet stopped working on the morning after we arrived and had i not been there it would have stayed that way. I had to go down into someone elses apartment and reset the router. The bedrooms have individual locks on them because aparently the apartment has a theft issue. I realized this when i woke up and about $2200.00 in electronics were missing. The weird thing is I woke up at 5am and the computer/camera/watch etc was still on the table. I got my drink of water and went back to bed. At 7am the housekeeper showed up to clean (this was 2 hours earlier than she was there the previous day). I woke up around 8:45 and everything was gone. Total BULL! When I frantically looked around thinking maybe i had misplaced somehting I found a key on top of the 6ft tall entertainment center that locked the balcony door! I was blamed for not locking the balcony door without being told about or where to find a key. It is the third floor, almost impossible to get on the balcony. We found a cheaper, bigger, nicer place on the water with full time security and the owner on site. Dont waste your money with these people!More
