This place is heavenly. Period. What a godsend. Seriously. As a foreigner who has been living in Nicaragua for over two years I had pretty much given up on the idea of a fresh garden salad and green smoothie. That's the kind of meal I daydreamed about for months and then simply forgot existed once i'd lived here awhile. Then came Buddha's garden...It is a magical place with wonderful food that makes your entire body, mind and spirit feel awesome. The open air, breeze, fresh flowers and community vibe make it the kind of place you simply don't want to leave. The owners, Bridget and Matt, have cultivated a community vibe with the help of Vanessa who owns the adjoining Zen Yoga studio space. The staff is also great, and have quickly become masters of raw food creations. Buddha's Garden is the perfect morning, midday or evening hang out. Order your meal before hand, do a yoga class, then walk out of the studio all blissed out and be nourished by love and local, raw, beautiful food. My favorite smoothie is the Exotic Endurance or Strawberry Ginger Kefir Colada (although the smoothie bowls are amazing too...but maybe that's it's own food category?). As far as a meal...Pineapple Pizza, all the way. I'm from Hawaii, so perhaps I'm partial to the pina, but honestly it is all equally fantastic. The mexican salad and Garden salad are my go to's when my veins are needing some greens, but the thai summer rolls with peanut sauce are pretty out of this world too. I could write an entire, separate trip advisor just for the desserts, but just trust me when I say they will satisfy your sweet tooth tenfold...and guilt free! So if you'd like to guarantee yourself a wonderful day, go check out Buddha's Garden, you'll be in heaven.
