We are regulars at Saim's Huddersfield, which used to be excellent but has really gone down of late, so thought we'd try Bayleaf again.
The Garlic Fish curry that arrived was tasty - a good depth of flavour and consistency and not too greasy. And the curry was delivered promptly. The pilau rice wasn't bad - a bright yellow concoction that had good flavour but was a bit oily - it had more the texture of a chinese fried rice than an indian pilau though
On the downside, the papadums that arrived were stale, with no crunch (as if they had been standing too long). And the roti was very dry - it didn't taste freshly made.
So would I use them again? Yes, There was enough promise in the fish curry to suggest that the chef knows what he's doing.
