Stayed 1 night over the blues festival weekend, had a great time, the hotel was in the perfect location, room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. We arrived early so had something to eat before checking in, the food was lovely, very fresh and breakfast again was very good. The bar area is also very nice and the drinks are reasonably priced. The staff were great too, cant fault this place. When we go back next year we will definitely be booking in here again.

Stayed in room Indulgence weekend 24th-26th May 2103. Had a fab time, room was decorated fab, the round bed was so comfortable. The room was very clean and was cleaned daily with all the fresh bedding, towels etc etc that you needed. The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much to ask for and they just wanted to make your stay warm and welcoming. I have read the other reviews and I can only presume they stayed at a similar named place on planet zong. The crown inn is a public house which tries to cater for everyone. The band was loud, then again if they were quiet then they wouldn't be a band. Thank you for a fab stay ladies. Best wishes Alan & Sarah x

Stayed for a night in the 'Lush' room. Misleading description. Room was shabby and not particularly clean. Poor lighting throughout. Large en suite...which was promising...but the shower leaked all over the floor and the toiletries were basic. Room size was OK. Bed very low and less than luxurious. There certainly was no evidence of the 'layers of bedding'...instead we had a very thin quilt and a thin throw. The ground coffee was a nice touch but you couldn't relax in bed to watch TV as the TV was positioned in a bizarre way on the wall! Staff were very friendly and informed us that the bar usually closed at 1am....which we thought would be fine. However, the bar was extremely active, with people spilling out into the street below, until well after 3.30am....which was less than acceptable. Breakfast was disappointing. The 'locally-sourced' sausages tasted cheap and the eggs were poorly cooked. The location was excellent and the photos and description led us to really look forward to our stay. However, the description, photographs and rating were extremely misleading. Considering the quality of the rooms within other hotels/pubs within the town, which were charged at a similar price, we feel quite disappointed. Hebden Bridge is beautiful and we will definitely visit again; however, we will choose our accommodation more wisely.

I stayed in their luxury "Indulgence" room on a Saturday night. We were in town for a friend's wedding. We arrived early evening and were shown to our rooms by a very helpful member of the bar staff, who was great, but confessed to never having done this before! We were asked to pay up front, in case we did a runner in the morning. They obviously knew about us!!! The room was interesting.... It looked great, featuring a circular, sunken bed! However, I really fail to see the advantages of this (maybe I'm missing something!!!!). It was harder to get in and out of and the lack of headboard meant it was hard to sit up in it for my morning cuppa!!! A compact toilet was made smaller by cramming two hand basins in. A separate shower room had a "double shower".... Get a friend to join you!!!! Tea and coffee were provided and very good. It was a nice touch to provide ground coffee and a caffetiere. I was surprised that in a "luxury" room, there was no hairdryer provided. Also, no shampoo, just several bottles of shower gel. There was a very complex lighting control, with a remote. It took us twenty minutes to figure out how to turn the lights off and we never managed to get the remote to do anything!!! Instructions would have helped. Unfortunately, I could not connect to the wifi with the code provided in the room. A double disappointment because there is minimal mobile network coverage in the town, on most networks. The bed was comfy and provided a good nights sleep once the booming music from the bar below had finished circa 1.30am!!!! Earplugs would have been a useful item to provide by the bed! Breakfast was fine. A very helpful waitress served us lovely Earl Grey and unlimited cappuccinos. I was a bit disappointed when I asked for eggs and bacon and only received half a rasher of bacon..... (the eggs were good though). All in all, it was a bed and breakfast that was adequate, good in parts and falling short in other ways. I would suggest either upping the standard slightly to match the "luxury" labelling, or dropping the label.

Room Tip: Not worth paying the luxury premium. Second floor rooms are quieter but up a steep staircase. Saturd...

Service and food was absolutely shocking! waited over an hour for a cold meat starter, when it arrived it was incomplete! when questioned the reply was "chefs got alot on"...there was one other table of 2 in the whole restaurant.
The two mains arrived a further half hour after, even though we asked for it all at the same time.
Food is very mediocre, tasteless and boring. The rough side salads served with our meals looked like they had been made by a child. Again my meal was incomplete to the description. God knows how they cope when its busy!

Stayed one night as going to a gig at Trades Club - within 2 mins walk. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our double room on the first floor was fine and the bathroom was clean with a great shower, however, on return to our room late in the evening there was a really bad smell emanating from the bathroom plumbing which got worse as the night went on.
A word of warning - as indicated by the name - Crown Inn is a bar....there was a private party the night we stayed and the extremely loud music thumped on until almost 1am. Our room was immediately over the bar, but I think all rooms would have been affected. The blurb in the room also mentioned that the last weekend each month there is a disco in the bar.
In summary - great location and convenient for everything in Hebden Bridge but would probably try somewhere else next time.

Room Tip: 2nd floor may be slightly quieter

What a fabulous place to stay!
Room (Indulgence room) was gorgeous, huge comfortable bed, bathroom spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We took an opportunity to look at other rooms whilst we were there and they were all excellent, even the single ones (don't get that often!).
Breakfast cooked to order with locally produced sausages from the butcher further up the road. We had a really relaxed stay with plenty things to do - visit to the local market, browsing round shops and a long walk up to Hardcastle Crags to earn our evening meal.
Staff at the Crown could not have been more helpful - we had travelled by train and needed to leave bags etc and they made the whole thing so easy for us.

We had a lovely light lunch there before we set off again. Would definitely go back and definitely stay there again.
