My wife and I recently spent a night in this hotel. It is a very interesting shape and as such the rooms are quite interesting. They really need to have a proper check-in however as going into the pub to be told that I needed to go into the restaurant to check-in is very offputting. There are quite a few stairs to climb with heavy bags and no elevator was available. Although the room is quite small it was spotless as was the bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening and the salmon terrine was delicious as was the beef. Waitress was delightful and had lots of interesting suggestions to make. Parking was on the street just down the road but was not a problem. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel.

Best choice in town. I was there for 3 nights. I just have nothing to add. Room was modern and clean. Pub with nice choice of local ales. Very nice restaurant. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was just super! Ok, there is no lift, but it was not real problem to me!

Very good small hotel. Few problems which were addressed by management. Breakfast is fabulous and waitress delightful. Only thing is Don,t be deceived into thinking a King room is anything special as it is their description of their very small rooms.

Room Tip: Make sure you Don.t just book a "King room" they are really only suitable for one person.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in August. The room and service was very good, we had a room at the front of the hotel. The shower was fantastic. I expect the only problem which was not a problem to me was you had to go into the restaurant to check in and pay, especially when the staff are busy in the restaurant. The hotel has only eleven rooms.

Like the review by FatherDoo, first impressions were not good.
No parking, difficult to unload on a busy street, no reception area, and a somewhat dirty carpet leading upstairs. Steep steps and no lift!
However, we found ourselves in a really lovely modern room with a huge bed and a clean and tidy bathroom. Breakfast was excellent.
So can't go by first impressions, and our 2 night stay was very enjoyable.
