We got married at the King's Hall and Winter Garden a few weeks ago and we cannot recommend it enough! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and perfect for big and small weddings with a choice of different spaces to use throughout. All our guests commented on how well cared for the venue is from the bar to the toilets, not forgetting how breathtakingly beautiful the Winter Garden and King's Hall are. You really MUST go look around - we visited on the morning of a couple of weddings to see how the venue looks set up and this really helped us realise how much potential the space has and just how amazing it can look on the day!
The staff are amazing, from booking the the day to clearing our stuff out after, they could not do enough for us (particularly Laura and Charlotte). They genuinely care about the day being what you want and work so hard to realise your vision. Lovely people to deal with! On the day the serving staff really looked after us from boxing up chocolate brownies for us to take on honeymoon to grabbing us a coffee when we were flagging!
The food was wonderful. We were a little apprehensive because you can't use your own caterers but have to use Bradford Theatre's. No need to worry! We had platters with snacks in our drinks reception, afternoon tea and then steak and ale pie with mushy peas in the evening. Everything was incredible quality, with local ingredients, freshly made and tasted amazing! Particularly the pie! They were so flexible about what we wanted with food and drink - in a way you simply would never get with a hotel - and did everything exactly as we wanted!
We were also concerned about the lack of outside space for pictures. Again - there was no need to worry! We went to the Cow and Calf to have our photos as a couple (they are beautiful) and the staircase in the Winter Garden makes a beautiful spot for formal group pictures - they all look fab!
Overall, staff, venue, food, value for money, everything about this place is fantastic for a wedding and if we were to do it all over again tomorrow we would choose this venue every time.
ONE MORE THING - the lighting - you would never get anything like this in a hotel - the theatre lights absolutely made the King's Hall for our wedding breakfast - beautiful!
