A friendly, relaxed and very warm welcome awaits you here. We arrived to be served tea and scones in the garden before retiring to a comfy clean room and quality bed (no sagging in the middle). Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of fruit / yogurts /cereal and of course cooked English. Homemade jams, warm stewed plums are just a few of the special touches. Wendy is more than happy to give local advice and obviously enjoys ensuring your stay cannot be bettered. I can certainly recommend this B&B and will definately return.

We got this contact off the net so didn't really know what to expect but it is to be highly recommended. It is well off the beaten track but close to Addingham (a lovely village) and Ilkley. Wendy runs the place with her husband and they both gave us a very warm welcome, almost as if we were old friends from the first minute. Our room was lovely and the breakfast divine-almost everything was on the menu. We will return, maybe even later this year

Room Tip: There are two rooms here, so speak to Wendy when you book. TAKE GREAT CARE TO BOOK THIS B&B AN...

We have stayed in the area on a number of occasions and this is our favourite near Ilkley. We always try to book here first. Lumb Beck is in a lovely location and Wendy is a super friendly host. The location is superb and it feels quite remote although it is quite close to Addingham which has s surprising number of pubs doing food (including the very good Fleece) and Ilkley which has a Betty's cafe/tea room.
The dogs are very friendly.
The gardens on two sides of the house are lovely and win awards.
The ensuite room is large with comfy chairs which recline and the window has a view up to Ilkley Moor.
There are just two letting rooms, one with a double and a single and an en-suite and the other with a double and a private bathroom. Breakfasts are very good, often with lots of fruit (some home grown) and usuallyeggs from their own chickens. A great place to unwind.

Lumb Beck Farmhouse is so special (and only has two guest rooms) it's a tip you're reluctant to share, but for tasteful, home-from-home hospitality and an opulent breakfast (pancakes AND croissant a possible combination) I am delighted to recommend it. It's a little bit of heaven in Yorkshire

This is a lovely, traditional, farm house style, B & B situated in the middle of no-where. It is secluded and very quiet. The warm Yorkshire welcome and friendly service was charming. There are two rooms one of which was in the process of being redecorated. We stayed in the Edwardian Room at the front of the house. It was very clean and well furnished with a large dark wood bed. The bedding was some of the best I have ever slept in, the goose down quilt was sumptuous; it was like sleeping in a warm cosy cloud. The bathroom was spacious, clean and modern with a large shower. Everything you might need had been thought about and made available.

Breakfast was just about everything you can think of rounded off with a superb full English.

The surrounding countryside was beautiful and perfect for those looking to get away from it all. We didn't have time (not to mention the poor Feb weather) to go for a walk but we will return in the future to do so.

All in all a great place to stay.

What a dreadful pun but what a wonderful B&B. It is difficult to say something that has not been said before. This is ideal for those who want peace and quiet. The property is literally at the end of a cul-de-sac in the middle of nowhere. There is therefore no traffic. The bed was so comfortable that it was very difficult to get up. The breakfast is the work of an artist and overflowing with good healthy food with a great choice of cooked breakfast. In the evening there is a lovely open fire and comfy chairs.
My partner says "The place ticked all the boxes but Wendy and David's personalities made the stay a real joy."
I noticed in the visitors book that someone had stayed there 11 times so that speaks for itself really..
Tom-tom was good in directing us to the right place but there is more than one B&B with a similar sounding name so do go on a bit further and get the right one otherwise you will be reversing your car, which at night and with the possibility of scraping stone walls is not to be recommended.

A wonderful place to visit. Food excellent, bedrooms very clean. Wendy and David are extremely friendly and very helpful suggesting places to visit.

We would have no hesitation recommending Lumb Beck Farm to our friends.
