Me and my wife made another trip to Salvia this weekend and once again we left more than satisfied. Where else can you get a great bottle of wine and 3 courses each for £60 and leave thinking it's one of the best meals you've ever eaten. The starters were excellent, the salt and pepper squid is a must and the cheese, tomato garlic bread is excellent. Their bases are like no other. It was busy, but it didn't take anything away from the setting. The seafood pasta was great and the salmon linguine was creamy and delicious. Once again we had another superb visit and will be returning soon!

Food fantastic, chefs fantastic, service can you guess? fantastic.

I would recommend but do book its only a small restaurant and it can be a little cramped If you ask for a window seat they try and fit you in the best they can. Great for a larger group or a couple. The garlic pizza bread is delicious.

This is always our first choice of Italian to visit. It is a tiny restaurant but the food is excellent and the house wine is washes it down well. The ribs starter is always amazing so tender with a lovely sauce.

Went with a party of 10 to celebrate a birthday. After reading the glowing reviews probably expected too much so found Salvia's a bit disappointing. It is a cosy little place so as we arrived a bit early the table wasn't set up so had to stand in the doorway and wait and couldn't order a drink until we were sat down. No draught beer so got a bottle of house wine £13.50 which was OK but the prices of other wines were very expensive ranging from £30-£50! The starters too seemed expensive at the £7 mark as did the specials ,so I didn't have any but the taglietelli al pollo I had was very nice I have to say. I didn't find the staff particularly friendly, the service was OK but to be honest the atmosphere seemed lacking with not even a goodbye at the end so it is unlikely I would go back.
