Hotel looked great from the outside, and just got better. Very friendly and welcoming staff at check-in, with a great plate of chocolate treats as you registered. We had one of the junior suite rooms in the original house - really beautiful. Superb comfortable four poster bed, views to front and side of the hotel really very nice. Step down from bedroom to a very nice bathroom. Had lovely evening meal in the Brasserie. Breakfast following morning was a bit frantic for the staff, but the food was again great. Will stay here again without any hesitation next time we are over that way.

Room Tip: Rooms in the original house have great character (all be it with creaky floor boards), room 11 was g...

This is one of the few hotels we have been back to twice. We stayed here for a Romantic weekend 3 years ago, and when we were invited back for a wedding here, we were very happy. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, The staff in the bar and restaurant are wonderful, and make the whole experience even better.
The rooms are spacious, modern and stylish. The bed is amazing and after a night of dancing at the wedding it was just wonderful to collapse into.
The first time we stayed we ate dinner in the restaurant which was lovely. We weren't expecting quite the same at a Wedding buffet, but the options we surprising good with a good selection. The pork was to die for!
The breakfast buffet is very comprehensive with some nice local touches. We had cooked breakfast both mornings which were wonderful also.
The grounds of the Hotel and amazing and there are some walks up behind the hotel which take you around the village and farm land.
We would highly recommend Wentbridge House- one of the nicest Hotels in Yorkshire, and thats saying something!

Room Tip: We stayed both times in the Garden suite which was quiet with lovely views

We attended the wedding of Mr & Mrs Bowen. The staff could not have been more friendly and could not have done enough for us. The wedding evening buffet was to die for with a great selection for both meat eaters and vegetarians. A stunning venue for a stunning wedding!

Stayed here for a family wedding - the hotel provided the wedding venue, all catering and the rooms. Room clean and good, lovely surroundings and easy to get to. All wedding arragements worked smoothly and staff were very helpful.
Gardens well kept with plenty of photo opportunity locations. Room for wedding venue and bar were good too.
Only complaint - one morning there was very slow service for cooked food at breakfast and the food was cold.

Room Tip: Our standard room was compact but had everything we needed - located in the main hotel building. The...

A warm welcome awaits you at the Wentbridge House Hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and roomy, and with a lovely comfortable bed. We stayed there the night before a family wedding, because the wedding venue was fully booked, so could not extend our stay. The lounge bar/bistro was extremely comfortable. So we made the most of it and invited some friends around for a quiet night and a bite to eat. The food was pretty good. Some hits and some misses. The beer battered cod was awesome, the batter like nothing I have ever tasted before. It was stunning! Friend had the lamb, but unfortunately was underwhelmed by it - very little taste. I had the prawn and lobster starter which was delicious. The staff were so helpful, setting up a bucket for champagne and putting some beers on ice alongside it. After dinner, we were keen to watch the ladies hockey final of the Commonwealth Games, but no TV. So we retreated to the patio area and settled over an IPad. Stunning grounds surround the hotel, and our accommodation was up a slight hill, so for those less mobile, could be problematic, however there was a lift. A good find on Trip, possibly a little overpriced for the facilities, but comfortable enough. Breakfast was good, although our order was interpreted interestingly. Cold buffet with a traditional breakfast to order.

Room Tip: If you want quiet, stay in the separate block.

We have just returned from an overnight stay in this lovely hotel. We had three rooms booked for a wedding party and were a little disappointed not to be offered a good rate- the rooms were £165 each and even though they were good they do seem a little overpriced. We did not get a coffee machine, robes or slippers but did get a lovely comfy bed and a large room. Everything seemed to be clean and the staff were wonderful. Great wedding and great stay. Breakfast was excellent - the full Yorkshire was delicious but small. We expected to get more than one mushroom maybe?

Room Tip: Rooms in the courtyard had access for the disabled I believe but were noisy when people sat outside...

We have returned from 2 wonderful nights at Wentbridge, where, along with family and friends we celebrated the wedding of our daughter and her now husband. The glorious weather just made the day perfect. From their first visit to Wentbridge House Hotel they had no doubt that that was the place for them to get married.

The staff were wonderful, attentive, interested, helpful, I could go on. The day was organised quietly and efficiently, Lots of serving staff ensured everyone ( over 100) got their meals within minutes.

We had continuing positive comments during the day about how wonderful everything was. When I look back on the day, it just seemed to happen, the 'slickness' of the staff ensured that my husband and I didn't have to do anything. We were able to be guests at the wedding which I think is a rare thing.

Lastly,I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a wedding. It ticks all the boxes, from accessibility to the road network to luxurious rooms, personal service and great food.
Thank-you Wentbridge
