A not to be missed English Heritage site but much smaller than I imagined. Get there early if you can before the crowds arrive

I think I'll revisit in the winter when the manic crowds of sharp elbowed Chinese tourists have gone home and I can enjoy the stones in a peaceful environment.
The audio guide system was particularly good. The prices in the cafe were eye watering and at least twice what one would pay in a good high street eatery. Next time I'll take a packed lunch and I recommend you, dear reader , do the same.

Thank Richard A

This is one of those places you have to visit if in the area. It is pretty cool but not a place you need to spend lots of time at. But if visiting the area go do it.

I know it may seem not much but a bunch of stones thrown around, but to thin they were placed there for a reason. 2500 BC it was built in the Neolithic times to tell time, understand when the season where changing and approaching so they can accommodate their crops and way of living. It was amazing! Take your shoes off and walk around it and you will feel vibrations. They have an amazing gift shop with awesome Stonehenge themed gifts and games and also have a food court to enjoy food and wine.

There is no other place like Stonehenge. It's like to be in a time machine. The stones ware there when I was born, when my mam was born, when the Jesus Christ was born.....
