I bought a Groupon Voucher which offered a one night stay with breakfast and evening meal. This appeared very good value. The member of staff I spoke to on the phone was very friendly. On arrival at the Hotel during the early evening the reception was unmanned and we had to go to the bar. The gentleman who was behind the bar was also covering reception and we had to wait until he served the waiting customers. On arriving in our room damp and peeling wallpaper were very apparent. Changing for dinner we went down to the dining room and the same member of staff was acting as the waiter as well. The food was very disappointing, except for the starter. The member of staff however was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast again was very disappointing. Coffee from the pot was cold and the breakfast was unappealing, except for the sausages which were very nice. Again one member of staff was on although she did not say anything whilst we were in the dining room and wasn't that friendly when we checked out. The other concern was that there was no allocated parking and you had to be up by 8 am to put money in the ticket machine. The accommodation was OK for one night on a voucher but I would not want to stay here at the full rate.
