We went to this Cafe and Bistro (despite it having no character) as it was close to the shop we'd just been to and we'd been told it was "all right". We decided on what we wanted from the menu outside "serving until 3pm". We walked in and a girl in the distance looked right through us, even though I smiled at her. We sat down and an older lady appeared and took an order from a young couple near us. She came in and out of the kitchen and concentrated on them. I tried to catch her eye and she just looked through me. Another lady came in and out of the kitchen, I think she was attempting to clear tables, but not a lot was happening and she too looked through us. We waited for 10 minutes without acknowledgement and when we got up and left, nobody even noticed.

We had clocked the The White Hart Inn earlier, when we drove past on the way to The Green (it's at the top of this road, the Church is on the other side) and we decided to try that as it had been our first choice. What a lovely surprise - delicious home cooked meals, in a very warm, friendly and comfortable atmosphere, with a gorgeous log burning fire. Much better value too with proper drinks.

We are very pleased that we were invisble at stony Stones.

The White Hart Inn made our day. Go there instead.

We went here for a meal this week. The food was great and the service the same. The restaurant has nice decor and has a great look over the river. We also went for a sunday lunch it looks like the 16th must have been a blip as it was excellent. It happens as we all know we can have a bad day. Give it another go. Try the hot rocks and also we were advised of the new menu comming next week so another visit for us this week. It also has a 2 mains for £10.00 offer which is another menu but very good value.

Had the fillet steak on a stone - really delicious. Sweets lovely too. The staff looked after us and made sure everyone happy. The food was a little slow in coming but we were there to relax with a bottle of wine so not bothered by this. Really lovely setting and got 10% off voucher which we used when we went back the next night.

Went for Sunday lunch, decor was nice, but menu was extremely limited and even with the 3 choices on offer they where unable to deliver!

Felt sorry for the young front of house staff who constantly had to apologise to diners because their selections where no longer available.

Of the 5 tables in our vicinity 9 people made complaints ranging from expensive drinks, cold food, reduced menu choices. under cooked food the list goes on!
