Just visited the Dumb Post which is under new management for the new twice a month Thursday curry night. The bar was very welcoming the staff really friendly and helpful and the curries were good value and really good quality - had Korma, Madras , Balti and Thai Curries to choose from and vegetarian versions. Good choice of wines lagers and plenty of real ales. The place is clearly going through a bit of a make over under new hands but it they are keeping the warm & cosy old world charm of the place. Really enjoyable night I will be back.

This was our first visit to the Dumb Post and what a pleasing Sunday lunch we enjoyed.One of the members of staff explained that the pub was in the process of being refurbished and was not yet finished,a beautiful beer garden which appeared to be popular with families on this sunny October day,it has a great view across the valley.The menu was quite short being mainly traditional roast dishes which were superbly produced,well cooked and presented,excellent value for money.There is a wide range of beers and wines this being a freehouse.It is plain to see that someone is seriously investing in this establishment and that includes the staff,who were first class,friendly and polite and creating the right sort atmosphere for a busy pub.We wish you every success with this venture.
