We've been here twice since it changed. Today we had bar snacks - whitebait and fish goujons which were very good although the mayo was a bit strange. Pleasant staff, good service

We were staying nearby and were actually recommended to go into Castle Combe but passing this - we thought it looked lovely and so stopped. It is under new management - good luck cards up etc! Very friendly bar maid, served promptly and the food was delicious - very reasonable too - bar snakcs were pea and feta on brushcetta - £2, spiced cauliflower and cumin fritters with yoghurt dip £2.75, Fiosh goujons with targtae sauce and then 3 of us had the slow cooked pork belly sandwich with chips - all tasty and served quickly. Would definitely recommend you to go!

The pub has recently reopened under new ownership. It is a lovely traditional pub so feels friendly from the outset. The restaurant was pretty quiet and we were looked after really well. The menu was a perfect mix of staples like ham egg and chips but also had some more restaurant food including plenty of fish and meat dishes. I had fish cakes to start followed by lamb shank and then a beautiful cheesecake. Everything was excellent and we came away feeling that we had had a very special meal.

These guys have worked very hard to make this pub look special and have done a great job. I really can't fault the food. It was simply an excellent meal.
