Lovely cosy and comfortable stay. Very well maintained and equipped cottage. Beautiful Autumn walks from the door and amazing setting.
Thank you Sally.
A fantastic cottage in a little dell situated a short walk away from Castle Coombe. A cosy warm cottage with everything needed to make our holiday a really memorable great time.
If Castle Combe has been voted Britain's prettiest village, this charming, cosy cottage with its stunning garden and wonderful views is an easy match with the added advantage of total peace and quiet - just the sound of birdsong, and the breeze in the trees disturbed only by the occasional hiker or dog-walker passing by. Sally and her father made us feel so welcome with all the thoughtful extras - flowers, wine, chocolates, sweets and the latest glossy magazines to leaf through whilst snuggled up in front of the woodburner. We will certainly be back.
Outstanding old cottage in an outstanding picturesque location! Peaceful and tranquil! The perfect place to relax in. Ideal for cats and dogs too! No main roads to worry about.
I am the only person to bring my cats! For 20 years!!! Cats paradise.
There are many walks locally from the cottage in ancient woodland.
The cottage is beautifullly presented and well thought out with added extras.
Ken (lives adjacent to the cottage) is a lovely old man and is interesting to talk to. Sally (his daughter) visits her father and runs the cottage let. She also works in the garden and has lots of information about the local area. She too is a lovely person and is very helpful.
If you want to escape from the rat race or in need of some respite, this is definitely the place to come to. It's absolute heaven.
Set in the Hamlet of Long Dean, Nut Tree Cottage is a really delightful country cottage surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens. The interior didn't disappoint either tastefully and comfortably furnished with a very well equipped kitchen, the whole thing being home from home for us oldies.
Thank you Sally for the bottle of wine, flowers and chocolates, really thoughtful.
We spent quite a few hours just sitting in the garden chatting to Ken or walking our dog around the beautiful little lanes.
Bath is only a few miles drive and there are many pretty little villages close by. Well worth a visit.
We hope to return next year. Many thanks once again Sally for your warm welcome and the Runner Beans and Potatoes.
