Place was dirty, owner snobby. How can you ruin lasanga? came out as re heated slop. Staff were not happy, Suggest you go to the rectory instead.

“dinner in Crudwell”
Reviewed 9 March 2014

Staying in Crudwell we looked for a pub meal - chose the Wheatsheaf and were not disapointed.
Good pub food at a good price.
Would recommend the pub for a visit if you are in the area

“Great fish & chips”
Reviewed 6 March 2014

Stayed in this small village for a night. A taxi driver recommended this pub. Had the classic fish & chips with green peas. It was flawless! Great pub dinner. The ale I had alongside was not bad either. Recommended.

What has happened this pub was lovely clean and tidy. Not anymore bar in such a mess with stuff everywere have they not heard of clean as you go. Floor was dirty looked like it had not been hoovered for weeks. Food was good, barmaid looked very unhappy as though she didnt want to be there. Were has your good barmaid gone.

“Good Honest Food”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

Whilst on holiday - we saw a sign for Sunday Carvery so decided to try this pub on the off chance. What a nice surprise - friendly staff, very helpful and good honest food. Like the system of staff notifying each separate table when the carvery was free for you to go and choose your meal - avoided long boring queue's. We dined in the Bar area because we had our dog with us and we received good service from the staff. Definitely good value for money.
