Together with 11 other people we used the cookery school as the venue for a truly memorable experience. The lighting was provided by candles and background lights which provided an intimate feeling. All the courses were explained by Peter Vaughan and those present with allergies had their fears allayed as ingredients were explained before we tasted. As far as possible all ingredients are local and therefore fresh and tasty. The canapes were delicious. The beer batter on the fish was yummy and the mutton for the next course just melted in the mouth (who says mutton is tough - they obviously haven't been to the Bistro). A beautiful cake was the surprise element followed with some very minty tea for several of us and coffee for the others. An occasion I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you.
