Had the most incredible ploughman's lunch here today: The owners were incredibly friendly, atmosphere very jovial and the prices incredibly good value! Sadly we live to far away tobe regular customers, but I cant recommend this place enough!

Been back a few times and always receive a warm welcome. This pub has catered for a large group for us as well as couples and family dining
It offers great pub grub with good portion sizes at reasonable prices.
Can be a little wait when busy but good things come to those that wait!

We met up with friends for an evening meal here recently having not dined since it had been taken over.We were all disappointed with all of our meals.I had the steak & mushroom pie,the pastry was the best part as the meat was dry & chewy. My husband had the duck from the specials board so was expecting something good, this was sat on a mound of mash that was swamped in loads of sauce that was very sweet. If the sauce had been served separately it would have been alot better. Our friends both had the pork loin from the specials board & this was very over cooked to the point of being very dry to eat.
We should have complained but because we were all hungry & the pub is our friends local we didn't bother. Not sure if we''d dine here again which is a shame as the staff & surroundings are lovely.

called in for a midweek meal. New owners, great food and fantastic service. Fabulous value for the senior citizen lunchtime specials. Seemed to be very popular. Have booked again for mothers day.

We heard from friends that the food was good so tried it one Saturday night, the menu is short but a good choice of hearty pub grub all local produce and home made food right down to the colesaw. Theres a warm friendly welcome it got very busy with locals in the evening but the atmosphere was amazing, live music on our visit all added to the atmosphere. There were no starters on the menu its nice and simple, I had the sirloin with all the trimmings and wow what a piece of steak that was and the meal was huge. Would go back again but the owners at the present are leaving shortly so watch this space and we will see if the food continues to live up to its reputation.
