“Best value around”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Been coming here and Franco`s for over 20 years now. We are always welcomed like long lost friends by Gianni. Over the years we have had the fortune to have many memorable meals and love the re vamped cafe/bistro. Over the bank holiday weekend we went in twice for lunch. Saturday was frittatta while hubby had the baked calzone. We didn`t need anything else for the rest of the day. Having a walk around on Monday we thought we would have lunch again as we couldn`t be bothered cooking that day. I ordered the frittatta again but changed my mind when I saw the pasta in a cream/chicken and mushroom sauce. Husband had the meat lasagne. The pasta had to be one of the best meals I had had there. Big plate of pasta that I only just managed to finish and hubby had to help me out and eat the bread and salad that came with it. Took a cake home for later as couldn`t eat anything else. Great value for money, affordable and comes with a drink for only £8 at lunch time. You must try this.

“Value for money and delicious”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

We had lunch here on Sunday May 4th and had a huge panini and a drink for £5 each. This came with a small side salad. It was so good that we had no room for the delicious apple cake we ordered, so we had to take that away to eat later.

“A little bit of Sicily”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

Dolcipani bakery run by the Campanella family has been a feature of the Devizes scene for 20 years. It serves the best coffee in town and always has a superb range of Sicilian and English cakes, pastries and bread on offer. They even serve the traditional Devizes Cheesecake! TV award-winning baker Giovani bakes everything himself on the premises and is there to greet customers in the traditional Italian style!

“Revived!”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

Gianni has completely revamped this great little cafe in Old Swan Yard. More room for tables, a better loo and much better value for money prices: a drink and pastry at £3 is a bargain. Coffee has always been good here, but it's even better now, and the baked goods are fantastic - try one of his Cornettos, a Sicilian version of the croissant: absolute heaven! He has revived the Devizes Cheesecake, and has such a fantastic variety of goodies available, you could try something different every day for at least a fortnight. Service is swift, efficient and charming, and the baked-on-the-premises fabulous bread to take home is to die for! Worth a visit to Devizes alone.

“A relaxing cafe, with an athentic welcoming Italian feel”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

Great coffee and quality food at reasonale prices - from breakfast through to a robust pasta lunch! All served with the classic Italian welcome and a "nothing is too much trouble" approach. The full breakfast is great but not for the faint hearted and as you would expect, there is an exceptional selection of bakery items - I'm a sucker for the cinnamon horseshoe. The sour dough bread (available to take away) makes the best marmite toast ever. Apparently, the cafe area is also vailable for private parties in the evening.
