Nice place but oh so slow because two people are trying to do it all and it just doesn't work.
At least four couples came and went while we were waiting, tables left not cleared, cluttered look put this place and the business into a lower league.

A quaint small cafe opposite the Town Hall. The service is a ,little slow but the wait is worth it. The food is excellent and the servers polite and friendly.

Grabbed a quick tea and cake with friends before we headed back to nearby Cherhill. The two members of staff (I'm pretty sure they were the proprietors) could not have been more friendly. Delicious cake was consumed and the tea was also very good.

My only problem was the decor, which looked like a cross between a five-year-old girl's bedroom and Dame Barbara Cartland's downstairs loo: a bit too much lilac and a few too many doilies.

Being local I have visited this cafe on a number of occasions with my wife. The food and drink are excellent and the staff are very good. Good old fashioned service with a smile!

Quintessence a wonderful little tea room, in a densely packed area of eating possibilities. Across the main square from the castle and in easy reach of the museum. However it's one of the very best places to stop for a cup of tea and a scone in all Wiltshire! The owners were very attentive, and there is a reasonable choice of sandwiches and cakes, teas. The jam is also exceptional as is the clotted cream. They claim to purchase their goods from only the best local producers. Seemed to be well-frequented by locals which is usually a good sign.
