This is a new venture for Devizes - a micro-pub serving craft-brewed ales and ciders, in a town dominated by Wadworths Brewery. The pub serves an ever-changing range of draught ales and ciders from a bewildering array of small breweries, particularly those local to Wiltshire and the South-West. In addition there is a cellar full of bottled beers from sources all around the world. The place is quite small, but this makes for a great atmosphere. The furniture & decor is quite quirky, being fashioned by a local artist from recycled local materials. Prices are extremely reasonable for such good beers. The place doesn't serve food as such, but carries a range of hot pies and lots of unusual packets of snacks. Opening hours are kept to a sensible core of drinking times, meaning that last orders in the evenings is at 9pm. There are no spirits, no alcopops and only a limited range of wines. There's no music, no juke-box, no fruit machines, just good conversation and a great atmosphere. A must-visit for the discerning beer and cider drinker. A really fantastic addition to Devizes' range of independent businesses.
