I stayed in one of the rooms out at the back around the beer garden. The room was a good size, good quality bedlinen and spotlessly clean. As we were going out elsewhere we didn't dine there but had a few drinks in the Angel and ordered some chips which were quite simply the best I've ever eaten. More good news the next day when I had a delicious plate of eggs benedict for breakfast. No toast offered when you sat down which I thought was a bit odd, then one slice appeared with my eggs benedict, for some reason.
I had a double room for £65 which I thought was a bargain. Few frills, especially in terms of customer service, but a properly good standard in the way of accommodation. I would definitely stay there again.More
