My family and I called in without booking last night at 8pm, when we walked in the restaurant was totally empty. This should of been a sign to us, but we went in anyway and asked for a table, the receptionist looked at their watch and then agreed to let us stay, another sign you may say.
We were given a grotty laminated menu and was able to choose quickly, as two of the items were not available, another sign. We ordered the steak.
Whe it arrived it looked quite delicious, you can imagine my relief, which was short lived. The steak was tougher to cut and eat than the worn leather from my husbands boots! Not once were we approached for more drinks, to check how our meal was or to see if we required any thing else. It's not like they were run off their feet!
After finishing our meal, well I say finishing, I mean fighting with the waiter finally approached asking if we required dessert, of course you would think nothing could go wrong, but we dared not take the chance.
I approached the reception for the bill and told them how disappointed we were and was given an apology and informed that they we were short staffed.
Please take warning from us, a far nicer meal can be bought from a drive through!
