I arrived at Dunsandles in a storm of chaos. All of my own making. Long story short...Alan was faced with a manic flakey woman who couldn't fasten her own dress, and who had covered his pristine white towel in creosote type leg tan.
Alan could not have been more helpful or unfazed.
The room was fabulous, real china cups and T pot. Beautiful decor and spotlessly clean.
The breakfast room is sooo rustic and is perfect for a leisurely meal.
The breakfast itself was serrved with a really personal touch and was delicious.
All this for a lot less than I paid last night at a premier inn which included a bed a nack all else.
Good place to go, trust me.

Stayed here after being invited to a party in Wallasey. The location is excellent, a short walk from New Brighton station and an equally short walk to the sea front and restaurant areas. we were welcomed by Alan who was friendly and helpful when we asked about local taxi firms.

We had a ground floor double room just beside the front door. although it was beautifully, and very tastefully decorated, I was disappointed by the size. It was quite difficult for two people to get ready at the same time. The ensuite was equally tiny, featuring a sink, shower cubicle and loo. It could have benefitted from a larger mirror- always helpful for applying the party make up!!

Having said all of that the bed was really comfortable, I slept well ( but that could have been a consequence of far too much alcohol consumption!) Breakfast was served in a bright airy dining room and was lovely. You help yourself to cereals and juice, loads of toast brought to your table along with tea or coffee. We chose to have the Full English breakfast but I noticed that other guests were asking for various combinations of breakfast items. Alan seemed more than happy to comply with the requests and did so very cheerily. Our food was served quickly and was red hot when it came to the table.

Overall I would have liked to have given this guest house three and half stars, it is better than average but I'm not sure it reaches the very good standard. It's best features are the charming owner and breakfast but I was disappointed by the room.

Stayed for a night with my husband in this lovely guesthouse. Room was beautifully presented with all the amenities you would expect. Excellent location so close to the restaurants in New Brighton. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Owner very helpful with lots of tips as where to drink and eat, go for a walk or bike ride. Will return!!

Room Tip: Room at the front overlooking the promenade

an absolute gem for rich individualism, do not let the photo of the outside of this property deceive you. inside was superb, each themed room was wonderfully different and the two i saw were glorious. i will be back to sample the rest of this house.

Room Tip: try them all, they seem to be different, and luxurious, and, well try for yourself

Stayed here at the dunsandles guest house on 28th march, we had a lovely warm welcome from Alan, we stayed in room 3 which was a family room with sea views, excellent quality and very clean, the beds were very comfy to sleep in, we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was absolutely superb, and both Alan and his wife couldn't do enough for you.
We will definitely be coming back here very soon, I will also be recommending it to all my friends and family.
Good quality at affordable prices.
Thank you Alan, see you soon.

Struggling to find a hotel in Liverpool for less than £80 per night. Try Dunsandals in New Brighton. Fab location a stones throw from the sea front shops and restaurants. We had a fab boutique style room with plenty of space. Slept really well in comfy bed. Alan the host is a charming character. The place is very welcoming and with New Brighton railway station a 5 min walk round the corner its just a great place to stay and get to the centre of Liverpool in minutes. Far better than taking the car. The cost was less than half the price of a city centre hotel with breakfast included. We will definitely return.

Friendly little guesthouse. Close to the cinema and plenty of places to eat. Welcomed by Alan we were shown to room 1 which is a family room so it was huge with separate kitchen and bathroom. We both had the full english breakfast which was lovely. We would definitely go back.
