Description: ‘The Lounges’ are informal, neighbourhood food led cafe/bars open all-day everyday where families, friends, and locals can come for a coffee, a drink, or something to eat in a relaxed comfortable environment. The Lounge menu is available all-day and offers a wide range of dishes including an extensive brunch menu, a selection of proper-job burgers, a great selection of tapas, & more restaurant-in-...style monthly specials. There is an extensive selection of coffee/tea, cakes and pastries, smoothies and fresh juice, and a small selection of wines, draught beers & cocktails. The interiors are comfortable, inviting, and a bit eccentric. The photos, a great majority of which feature Dave’s (co-founder) grandparents, are weird and slightly unnerving?!We’ve got a variety of board games available for either children or adults, daily newspapers to read, a kids menu (& highchairs), & a free neighbourhood book swap (bring an old book & swap it with a book in the bookcase).Think of us as your home-from-home.

We visited with kids and couple of their friends aged 11. One has allergies and the young female waitress was excellent in checking with chef that they could accommodate his needs. They also did a basic chicken and chips for kids which not on menu. My husband and I had tapas which was nice plus the bread that came with it very fresh. My only niggle about tapas was the halloumi cheese not much of it and was a very small portion size generally. Nice touch having board games for kids and that dogs allowed

Thank you for your feedback. We always try to do our best to accommodate all allergies to the best of our ability. I am therefore glad to hear that this aided you when you visited. I am sorry to hear that you thought the portioning of the halloumi Tapas was on the small side. All of the staff are more than willing to check over any meals to ensure you have the correct portion size. Please do not hesitate to query anything when dining with us again, we are always more than happy to help.

Thank you again for your feedback,

Couldn't decide where to go for a quick bite to eat and a coffee in New Brighton. So walking around we stumbled upon Marino Lounge. What a lovely place to be. Very friendly staff and fantastically decorated with a great view over the river Mersey. Great menu full of lite bites and a good selection of hot and cold drinks all at reasonable prices. I had 2 latte's and the Dirty Beans on toast with a black pudding. Very well presented and delicious. Can't wait to go again. Very impressed. Ended up being there for nearly 3 hours it was so relaxing.

I have been to the Marino Lounge several times, sometimes for coffee, sometimes for tapas. The atmosphere is informal, and the décor somewhat eccentric, but pleasant. The staff are welcoming and efficient. There is a vegan menu on request, and good vegetarian tapas. Coffee (flat white is my favourite) is always good.

In one corner there is an area in which well-behaved dogs are welcomed. Frankly, although I appreciate that some people don't like dogs, it is good to find an urban facility that is prepared to allow dogs in, so this is extremely welcome. There is also seating outside, overlooking the Marine Lake, and behind that the Mersey and Irish Sea.

This is one of a chain - we have visited a similar one in the South - and a welcome deviation from the slightly samey approach that chain outlets often involve.

I am a regular at Marino Lounge for a few reasons . I like the relaxed friendly atmosphere , the way the restaurant is set out and if you have a well behaved dog there's even part of the restaurant for you.
The staff are friendly and helpful . The price of the food is very competitive considering how good it is.
If like me you are coeliac they have a great separate menu and the staff are knowledgable about gluten free eating.
