Lots of walks, good for a cycle too we found. Dog loved going off-lead (more than enough room for this) and he goes off bounding through the trees and streams. We went on a rainy day and loved the freshness of the place all the more for it- good mix of shelter from trees and open space. Went to the coffee shop after for a piece of cake- it was fab!

My husband and I walk at Wyre Forest several times each week, we generally do anything from 2 to 5 hours of walking depending on what time we have. There are paths, trails and tracks everywhere and it is very well sign posted and it is suitable for every level of walker from easy to some challenging climbs. It's a great place to be for walkers, cyclists and horses. The scenery is stunning and wildlife fantastic - birds, butterflies, squirrels and of course the deer - we rarely walk without spotting a deer or two.. Dowles Brook, which runs through the centre of the forest has a good footpath running along side it and there are remnants of several old mills. There is also an old railway path running through the forest which is 2 miles in length making it ideal for a bit of power walking. This forest is a safe place to be - ideal for lone walkers and families. At the visitor centre there is a very good play area for children and a large grassy area for picnics. There is also a very good cafe which is managed by friendly and welcoming staff. The cafe offers a wide variety of excellent food from home made biscuits, cakes and pastries to full plated meals with the option to sit inside or out. On our longer walks we always treat ourselves to a bacon bap, they are the best ever!! At the visitor centre there is plenty of information about the forest and all the walks and there are maps on sale at the cafe. There is also toilet facilities. And although this does not appeal to myself, there is also a really good go ape course, which always looks busy.. Great place to be.

Great day out, my two boys could run and hide and they also found it fun spotting the different types of birds and insects.

Lots of fresh air and fun for kids!

Walked here many times and always worth the trip. Plenty of well marked trails with lots of options to go off track and lengthen the walk as needed. Good walking surface on main tracks.
Excellent woodland walks and very dog friendly. We let dogs off lead at car park and don't need to put back on until back at start.
Great day out.
