This is our second visit. The hotel is excellent. Staff are so helpful they go the extra mile to make your stay an enjoyable experience. The food is amazing. Rooms are sizeable and very comfortable, everything you need is there. Would recommend this hotel and will certainly return.

My husband and I recently stayed at Brockencote through Secret Escapes. The place was 'Amazing' from the moment we stepped through the front door to our departure. Each and every member of staff could not do enough for us to make our stay more enjoyable. Our room was huge in the west wing overlooking the lake. We had strawberries and bananas in our room on arrival and a lovely coffee maker, which was very welcoming after an hour's drive in the pouring rain! The bathroom was very spacious and immaculately clean with all Molton Brown toiletries. The restaurant and bar staff were very attentive and welcoming and it was a lovely surprise when we were given a table by the window overlooking the beautiful fields especially as the late evening sun broke through. The food was excellent and we also had complimentary small dishes throughout the evening, courtesy of the chef. On return to our room we were surprised to find our bed sheets had been turned down, lights dimmed and slippers placed alongside the bed. We also had bottled water on our bedside cabinets and tea cups on the table ready for the next morning. A real treat with a little bit of luxury added in. We most definitely will be returning to Brockencote Hall in the future!!

Room Tip: Top floor room in the west wing. Very quiet with lovely views of the Lake and driveway

Brockencote Hall is a very professionally managed and luxurious country Hotel. We were very warmly welcomed for our early checkin after a very long and delayed flight from Australia, which we greatly appreciated. Our room oozed luxury including all furniture, soft furnishings, crisp bed linens - the bathroom very spacious and of modern design including underfloor heating. We enjoyed 2 casual meals during our brief stay, with very professional wait service. Breakfast was a delight. Congratulations Nigel and all your Team.

Room Tip: Ground floor corner room adjacent to gardens provided very easy access and was very peaceful

I say this as we first saw this hotel online and booked it as we were only staying one night and fancied a treat, then the more we looked the more we worried that we are not posh and don't dress up for dinner.

We should not have worried, don't get me wrong this place is definately posh if you want to be but we rocked up in jeans and tee's and were treated very well, all the staff were really friendly, we got a quick guided tour and shown to our room which was actually the one shown on the website so we were really impressed.

The rooms are tasteful and huge, the bath with seperate shower means the bathroom is huge and modern too.

We had an email before we arrived asking if we wanted sheets or duvet and our pillow preference so we knew its was going to be comfortable.

We ate in the bar and the menu was small but had enough to please most people, not the cheapest place to eat but well worth it in flavour and style.

Whilst we were eating our bed was turned down, curtains drawn and slippers left out, what more could you ask for? oh yeah, the camonile tea left for us.

Breakfast was fresh and cooked from the kitchen, nice atmosphere and no pressure to leave in a hurry.

All in all a very good experience and will be recommended to all.

Room Tip: From looking I could not see a bad room, they all have great views.

We stayed here for a family wedding and reception and had exclusive use of the hotel from the afternoon of the wedding until after breakfast the following day. The word perfection sums up our overall experience. The hotel, in conjunction with the obviously key family members, organised a superb wedding and the hotel delivered it perfectly. The hotel is in a lovely countryside location backing onto a field of grazing sheep and all of the public rooms are decorated to a high standard. I really can't praise every member of the hotel staff too highly. The wedding breakfast food and service were excellent and the individually cooked breakfasts the following day were prepared and presented beautifully. We stayed in Room 4 which was a feature room overlooking the sheep. It was huge and very well appointed. I really can't recommend this hotel highly enough. If I could give it a rating of ten I would!

Wow! From start to finish, the staff and in particular Nigel the duty manager ensured that my son's wedding reception was nothing less than perfect. The food, the decor, the accommodation, the attention to detail and the calm and professional way it was all presented was completely and utterly faultless and we can't thank you enough.

Room Tip: They're all fabulous rooms

This hotel was booked for a wedding reception. We stayed the night and the wedding party had booked exclusive use of the hotel. The service and food was excellent - very tasty and well presented on time. The rooms were spotlessly clean and with all the facilities as advertised. We all had a wonderful time and were able to treat the hotel as if we guests of the Lord and Lady of the hall. The staff were attentive, friendly and remained unobtrusive in the background, but seeing to all the guests needs. We had excellent food for the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet was very good too. Breakfast in the morning was very efficient and tasty with all the right food arriving to the correct person. There was plenty of car parking space and wonderful grounds for the photographing of the bride and groom. The venue is also great for supporting other activities for the wedding - we had laser clay pigeon shooting. The rooms downstairs are excellent for sitting and playing any games. The wedding coordinator must have done an excellent job behind the scenes as everything went so smoothly.
