“Food and staff a highlight”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2014 via mobile

The staff at this Premier Inn are extremely friendly and helpful any queries we had they were happy to answer. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was nice. The rooms were as usual clean and we all had a good nights sleep

Excellent location in the middle of Kidderminster, with shops (including M&S, Next, and a 24hr Tesco) close by.

Good accomodation, up to usual PI standard. Restaurant - 'The Kitchen' - service was very attentive and helpful, with a menu perhaps smaller than one might get at a pub / restaurant, but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. I particularly liked the fact that one of the veggie meals was identified as containing Quorn - I am very allergic to Fusarium venenatum, and thus was able to avoid it.

Our only real copmplaint was that the control for air conditioning / heating in our room was complex, and we didn't master it in our two night stay. At times the room was too hot or too cold, and then the aircon would start up rather noisily. Splitting hairs, we also found it odd that the TV didn't tell us what program was on (as most DTV set-ups do in the UK now), they only showed the channel. But we managed to cope with that.

We will definitely be back - £150 for two nights dinner bed and breakfast for two (booked in advance) was excellent value, and it's streets ahead of any other options we have when we visit my family in the area.

A lovely renovated old weaver's mill, compactly designed in Euro style, making a big impression on us Americans for sensible use of unusual space. Service was excellent, especially Alan (mgr), Ben and Justin, who were always willing to accommodate the most odd requests as we were there to visit relatives over the holidays, and could not have been nicer. We loved being able to walk out the door to shops, through the pedestrianized part of town on our way to visit family.

The only drawback is that it is extremely hard to locate from the road as it sits at the far end of the car park, and Google maps has the post code wrong, so make sure to give very explicit instructions should you need a taxi with correct post code!

Room Tip: Don't even know if they have a fitness center; no time to try out.

Excellent stay and excellent value for money at the Premiere Inn, Kidderminster during Christmas holidays. Good development of old Mill building. Facilities clean and in good working order. Pleased to have a decent shower available.

The service was excellent. A very quiet comfortable room.
A very good experience.
It is very handy for shopping. It is also well placed for visits to Severn Valley Railway and the Safari Park Will definitely stay again

This hotel is a cut above the usual Premier Inns I have encountered.
It is located in central Kidderminster in a Grade 2 listed Textile Mill. It is one of the new format Premiers featuring a 'Kitchen dining area' for breakfast rather than the usual 'pub next door' approach and this work well for both convenience and quality.
Staff were friendly and eager to help both at check-in and room maintenance.
There are only two downsides but visitors need to be aware of both. 1. Parking is in a public retail park outside hotel and costs £10 per day (coin only ticket machine). 2. Windows do not open in rooms (listed status) so I'm afraid its air-conditioning only which does not suit everybody.
The hotel can do nothing about the widows but should be able to sort parking better even if only providing pre paid tokens to guests to avoid the hassle of loading parking machine with £1 coins!
However, these two minor niggles aside the plus points outweigh problems and include great friendly staff, very good breakfasts, clean new rooms and an excellent location.
If only all budget hotels were like this one....well done Premier Inn KIdderminster.

Room Tip: Remember you cannot open windows so will rely on air-con!
