Stopped going to Bombay Blues last year after a couple of uninspiring meals and poor service, but what an improvement.
Went back following a recommendation from family members and are now regulars going at least once a month. Always eat in so cannot comment on the quality of the take a ways.
The menu is varied and the "specials" are truly amazing, we always try something different and have not been disappointed yet.
The service is friendly and attentive and you still get hand written bills!!
Good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages but they are more than happy for you to take your own, that is never a problem.
Give this place a visit I don't think you will be disappointed.

An early Saturday evening table at a well reviewed restaurant with family. Friendly service, though it slowed down as the place began to fill up. Bland decor and a bit dimly lit. Clientele were families, couples and small groups - no post-pub/stag parties. Food was good, though compared to the Bradford/Leeds curry houses we are used to, nothing special. Menu was written in poor English, with many typos. Like another review, we found £85 for four mains and four ice creams and lemonades expensive for the area/surroundings. But what else is around.

Three of us visited Bombay Blues on a Friday night this week. It is one of a number of curry houses on this street, but always has by far the most customers, which says a lot.

We shared some poppadoms, then all went for different starters. My nargis kebab was superb. We all then went for a different main curry from the really interesting house specials section of the menu, which all have lengthy descriptions. I had the chicken tikka greenham curry, and it was lovely, with mint running through it. My fellow diners were also very happy, although if you go for the very tempting 3G curry watch out as it is pretty hot, although only described as medium !

The service was brilliant. All of the waiters were really friendly all evening. The courses come out fairly quickly in turn, and each time we were asked if we were ready for the next one, which was a nice touch.

A really great curry house, and you are welcome to bring your own drinks too, which helps to keep the price down. Thoroughly recommended.
