“Great HI E, not so sure about the town though”
Reviewed 17 March 2010

We stayed the one night, this was a bridge between two longer stays at other hotels in the area.

Still looks brand new, clean and well cared for. Just great staff, very professional and pleasant. The rooms and facilities are typical of the brand, and was very well presented and smart.

Breakfast buffet was excellent, a choice of cold and hot options - again, very well presented and very good quality.

It has a little bit of an anonymous and clinical air to the place, but that's what you get with so many business oriented visitors I would imagine.

Overall, very impressed with the hotel but found Redditch to be a bit dismal. Thank God for SatNav or we might still be wandering around the inner ring roads. A couple of reviewers referenced the lack of eating options in the vicinity which I find surprising, as the town centre with its choices is only about a six minute walk away. There is a pub for evening meals a couple of hundred yards away which served pretty decent pub fare.

Overall, a very impressive stay for anyone stopping over and in need of reasonable accommodation.

my husband and i stayed here with our 2 teenage children we were really surpised for the price with breakfast included that it was such a lovely place to stay. the rooms are really clean, we have stayed all over the world in 4-5 star hotels and we can honestly say that these rooms are just as good if not better (as you are not being ripped off) than any we have stayed in. the breakfast was great with boiled eggs, toast, pastries, yoghurts and fresh fruit and plenty of hot coffee etc. we would thoroughly reccommend this hotel and would definately stay here again or any holiday inn in the future.

We stayed here recently as a family with 2 kids to visit Cadbury World. Hotel very clean and modern. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast although only continental, was more than adequate, with plenty of choice and you could help yourself to as much as you wanted - the toffee muffins are to die for. We also ate in the hotel both evenings and we found the food to be excellent and very reasonably priced. My only complaint with our stay was the sofa bed for the kids (who are 9 & 7) which they complained was not comfortable and they had a fairly broken sleep both nights. the sofabed didn't have a proper mattress so the sheet could not be tucked in and moved about with every movement from them - probably would have been fine if they had been younger. Apart from that i would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the station so we took the train to go to Cadbury World, about 20 mins on the train to Bourneville station and then about 15 mins walk to Cadbury world from there, saves trying to find a parking space. Cadbury world was a great visit, definitely recommended.

After staying in many hotels in the UK and overseas, this was the first time i had ever stayed in a Holiday Inn Express. To be honest, i went in with an open mind and was very supprised! The Car park is large, well lit and the lady on reception could not have been more helpful and we must have had the quickest check inn ever! She pointed out facilites to us without going over the top and made us feel most welcome.

The room, medium sized, very very clean, comfy bed, clean and modern bathroom, flat screen TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities.

Although the hotel is located in a residential area, virtually no noise was heard.

Continental breakfast i would describe as very good, plenty of food and choice and the staff most helpful.

Check out again was very good with no problems.

Overall i would definately reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for overnight accommdation in this area. Just a shame the staff from Holiday Inn Express dont go to other hotels and teach staff customer service and how to run a hotel smoothly... Well done and keep up the good work.

Stayed for one night and the staff and accomodation were first rate. The weather was dreadful when we arrived but we got a lovely warm welcome at reception. Our room was ready for us and we were very pleased with it. It was extremely clean with lovely furnishings, bedding and towels. The room had air conditioning, Internet access and every facility we required for our stay. The hotel is very modern and is tastefully decorated to a very high standard. There is a large secure and well lit car park and is only a short walk to the main shopping centre. The hotel was very quiet during night with no disturbances. We can certainly recommend the Holiday Inn Express Redditch to others.

Another great holiday inn for our business conference. It's right opposite the train station as well which is handy.
Rooms are comfortable and clean, can't complain at all really...although I did have to ask for towels as there were none in the room but that's hardly the end of the world.
Food good, service excellent and facilities for business people are fantastic - high speed wi-fi, and light, airy conference rooms.
