I had stopped using Travelodge because many were run down, dirty and cold. I recently stopped at the new Travelodge in Tamworth so decided to try the one in Burry both were excellent and good value. However the cost of parking, WIFi and shampoo is not included so this does put the price up by comparison.

This is the second time we have stayed here. Providing one's room faces the carpark there is little outside noise interference. Unfortunately this is another Travelodge where paying guests are (additionally) charged to park their car - when one dines at a restaurant one does not have to pay extra for cutlery and car-parking! Another recurring gripe concerns Travelodge's inability to provide TWO chairs in a room when there are TWO guests! And there was no one manning Reception each time we went to request an extra chair...... oh dear.

Stayed at Travelodge Bury Pilsworth road for 1 night, a sunday as it happens, just this weekend gone.
Place was easy to find, just off the Mway with good signage for the retail park it's situated on. There is an ASDA, Pizza Hut, Mcdonalds and Frankie and Benny's there, and a fayre and square pub called the paper mill next door for eats and light refreshment, so all the basic needs of food and so on are catered for.
Parking is adequate, plenty of spaces, and for a small charge of £3 for 24hrs, its reasonably priced, and is specified on website, (but I hadn't looked for it!)
Tamveer the receptionist was top class with the welcome, pleasant greeting, advice on whats near, and genuinely seemed pleased to help, although we didn't require anything during our stay.
Well placed hotel in good, clean order, ideal for visiting Manchester or Bury.

There is a bit of road noise early morning from the side of the hotel that faces onto the link road for the retail park, but we did have the window open(!) so can't complain, it's not mway racket anyway

all in all, excellent stay, no qualms at all.

Yes, Stay at this hotel. It's excellent value for money

Travelodge Bury have very friendly and professional staff. The hotel is clean and room comfortable. I have stayed there before and will stay there again. The pub/restaurant nearby has a good menu and itis good value. When arriving at the hotel we were made to feel most welcome.

We got to the travel lodge at 5pm and discovered that you have to pay to park there. Not happy. We then had to wait for about 10 minutes for someone to come to reception to serve us. When the girl came we expressed our dissatisfaction about the parking costs and having been made to wait for service. Instead of being apologetic, the girl proceeded to argue with my husband about what he should have done of there was no one here. We then wanted to cancel the awful looking breakfast in a bag I had pre-ordered, because on seeing the contents it was not at all what I wanted. This was not possible. We would have to contact the booking hotline on a premium rate number. I asked to use the hotel phone - at least this was allowed. However, no joy in getting a refund as you have to cancel anything before 12 noon and of course we hadn't known about the quality of the breakfast at that point.
The most astoundingly awful thing was that the poor girl on reception was the only member of staff in the hotel and she was doing all the jobs! No wonder it took her a while to get to us!
The room was quite clean (although we did find chocolate under the bed that hadn't been hoovered up!) It was also warm. I also think having to pay for WiFi in this day and age is a rip off when we could go to the pub nearly and get it for free.
Our stay was spoiled by the hassle we had and a re still having trying to get a refund of our car parking and the breakfast that I never actually ate!

Room Tip: Go somewhere else!
