Trying to achieve 10 out of 10 is so hard , but this venue is well on its way. The Staff are just outstanding, just friendly, very accomodating and so helpfull. We had a Diamond Wedding Aniversary there and everything went perfectly. A sit down meal
In the afternoon. Sat in a snug bar prior to the meal. The food was hot and greatly presented, very tasty.
The staff helped with a cake etc catering for you and old. After the meal there was an upstairs bar which accomodated us all - around 30 people. The bar staff were so helpfull that evening and contributed to such a sussesfull evening and stay.
Thanks so much to "Pat" and her crew of staff, awsome job and very much appreciated.

Stayed here after the Saddleworth Brass Bands last friday night. The staff were most welcoming, the room had a fantastic view over the moors and best of all we had a peaceful nights sleep! Breakfast in the morning was full english again with the same freindly service. This is a great place to stay if walking in the surrounding hills yet is only about 15 mins out of Oldham. Have already booked for next year's band contest!

Cheap, friendly good location decent sized rooms. Only missing a small fridge in the room. The hotel was supposed to be non smoking, but we often saw the straff smoking in the hotel, also in the kitchen so we decided not to eat there as the hygiene was not their highest priority.

Very friendly staff, took a long time to check in but this was due to the staff wanting a chat and I have no problem with friendliness. Room was very pleasant and clean. The ensuite not so clean as the toilet lid was stuck to the seat and I had to yank it up! Hot water unavailable at certain times of day unless you request it specifically from the staff so I didn't shower as I felt uncomfortable going to ask. The television in the room was poor. When trying to change a channel it would lose signal and would have to restart the tv a few times to try and get the channels available which sometimes worked sometimes didn't. Breakfast was nice, but would have preferred more than the one sausage and one bacon for £6.50. Also the jug of milk was full fat ( and slightly warm) so could not enjoy a cereal and opted for juice instead of a hot drink for this reason. Kettle and drink sachets were supplied in the room. No toiletries but clean towels were supplied. Very comfortable bed.

Very welcoming stay, made to feel at home. More to the point they gave up there dinner so that me and my collegue had a good dinner as we were late arriving, to me that deserves a 10/10. This establishment has met my every need, and would be happy to stay time and again
