Just come back from night away hotel was full due to concert and parklife.
Rooms only repainted last week so strong smell of paint couldn't leave window open due to noise from air conditioning unit. also could not shut door to bathroom due to being repainted.
Room was clean although the furniture was a bit tired,
Staff were very helpful and breakfast was great and was very good value for money.
was noisy with people going up and down corridors also doors automatically slammed shut .

first words spoken to us when booking in was "welcome" very pleasant staff
We had room 107 it was very clean and had a lovely window
Good facilities in the room we could make a drink if we wanted
Bear in mind it's not 5star but its great for what it is and it's not 5star prices
So all in all great value
The breakfast was lovely too

Hubby stayed at Innkeeper's as he was working in nearby Didbsury and couldn't find any half decent hotels nearer at a reasonable price. First impressions - the surrounding area gave him a few concerns but once he arrived his worries were allayed. He and his companion were dealt with quickly and efficiently by a member of staff at a small section at the end of the bar. The rooms were clean and tidy. The furnishings were a little tired but were perfectly functional. He didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. They provided free parking and free wifi which are always a bonus. He couldn't have asked for better service from the staff.

Overall the hotel was great value for money and he would stay again if he was in the area.

Arrived at 8 .30pm and we were starving when we arrived so ate before checking in (above a Toby Carvery so no worries about spending a fortune on food). Check in was fast and easy. The staff were very friendly throughout and the waitress went out of her way to provide my daughter with her request at breakfast. Room was very comfortable and clean, had everything we needed and we both had a great nights sleep. Plenty of parking on site.
Only 2 things that could have made our stay even better, and neither of them a problem...1/ It would have been good if breakfast was available until a bit later - I was with my teenage daughter! 2/ You had to dance around under the shower a bit as it wasn't very powerful. Two very minor issues to a great place to stay at a great value price. Made our trip to see One Direction at the MEN Arena (about a 20 minute drive away) extra special.
Only issue if mobility is not good is the steep flights of stairs to get to the rooms, especially with luggage, not a problem for us but could easily see it being for some.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 205 at front of hotel at top, next to laundry room but were not woken at all by any n...

Stayed here for one night due to visiting family. Stayed here when it use to be Rudiyard Hotel. Arrived 5.45pm you have to check in in the pub area. It was very busy with people having the carvery. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was large and clean overlooking the front of the hotel. Family room 104. Main road is the A6 into Manchester but windows are double glazed so noise was miminal. We ate out that night. It was quite noisy in the morning early risers and creaky stairs!!! breakfast was good contiental included which was ample for us. Car parking free. For what we paid £39 for one night was excellent value

Have just had a short stay in Stockport and stayed at this hotel basically because of the 'very' cheap price I managed to get. Not expecting too much(based on the price), not only was I pleasantly surprised but it soon became apparent what a lovely place this is. The next time I'm staying in the area I won't hesssitate to stop here.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful the accommodation is very clean and comfortable and to add to the whole experience it's a 'Toby Carvery' establishment as well. The food is excellant and at very low cost, at the time £5.99 for the 'carvery roast'..............delicious !!!!
The same applies to the breakfast, either 'help yourself continental' or £3.99 for 'help yourself full english'.
I certainly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Stockport area.
Thank you 'Toby'.

Having stayed in inn keepers lodges across the uk we decided to stay at this hotel over new year. This time we booked 4 nights for a total cost of £100 which included a continental breakfast. Inn keepers lodges offer very good value for money hence us returning several times. The hotel Is ideally located for buses and trains into Manchester. We had a family room this time which was a lot bigger than previous rooms we have stayed in. Rooms are serviced everyday and cleaning staff are really friendly. They even left us clean towels and condiments outside the room the days we decided to have a lie in!! Only downsides are the stairs have a bit if a damp smell and some staff in the Toby carvery were less than helpful. We were told by one member of staff that they were too busy to deal with our query and we would have to wait. It did feel on occasions that we were an inconvenience to them. Overall if you are looking for a budget hotel with good access into Manchester this is a good hotel to stay at but be prepared to be left to your own devises if you have any issues or queries with your room.

Room Tip: Ask for room 104 or any family room. no extra charge and they have large bay windows and nice big ro...
