First hotel I have stayed in that you have to pay for the gym facilities, hotel is dated and poorly decorated, tv was not even tuned in properly so could only watch one channel. Food in the bar was average.

Where do I start? To be fair the room was clean. I think that's the only good thing I can say. We were on the top floor it was horrendously hot! No hot water but then we didn't need it. Checkout was at 11, but housekeeping tried to enter our room at 8 whilst we were still in bed and as it was so hot, uncovered and in a state of undress. So we put the 'do not disturb' sign outside the door. At 9 am they tried to come in again!!! Not only that when we left the room, we discovered the 'do not disturb' sign has disappeared. When we complained to the Reception Manager he made the discussion all about him. The staff interrupted me whilst I was talking to the Reception Manager too and he allowed it! Breakfast was another experience. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and I can honestly say I have never seen chips on the hot breakfast buffet. The fruit, ham and cheese were perfectly acceptable however, once they'd eventually restocked them. There were clearly not enough staff to cope with everything. The member of staff who had interrupted me on Reception was also rude to another customer when he asked for more fresh milk for the tea and coffee; she told him she was busy and he would have to wait! The tea which was served in a flask and I had to wait some time for, had only had a tea bag waved at it I think and my husband assured me the coffee had only had a passing glance at some coffee too. All in all this is our worst experience of staying in a hotel and I would never, ever stay there again. If this was the only hotel in Manchester and they were all fully booked, I'd sleep in the car.

Stayed here on a national coach holiday for 3 nights, the food was awfull the room was ok but wasn't cleaned during our stay, there was 2 weddings on separate nights while we were there , so no seating left for other guests in lounge area, ther was no outside seating which would have been nice, the whole of our stay we only saw 1 member of staff on the bar, 2 in the dining room and 1 on reception, who I have to say we're all helpful and pleasent which was admirable due to the volume of people they were having to deal with. The hotel was nearly full is surely they could have afforded a few more staff, we go on a lot of coach holidays to see if they are ok to take my mum away and I'm afraid I would not go back to this hotel mainly down to the food being in edible, also we were put of from using the pool as we saw a young man in the pool spraying some chemical on the walls then putting the cloth into the pool to wash it of with

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room which has a window that can be unlocked it was really hot

Stayed here for one night. Was greeted at reception n was given all info, receptionist was really helpful. Booked double room but was given twin due to room allocation n reception said double room had damp lol.
Found room was dated but was clean n for one night it was fine, shower was working well with no mould.
Transfers were easy enough and all staff were helpful.
On the whole don't really no what people actually expect.

Like other reviewers we stayed at this hotel as part of a Coronation Street coach tour. Yes we entered the Hotel from the car park but that is where the coach parked. not the hotels fault. The reception had our key and information pack ready for us and was pleasant enough. Our room was on the first floor. A very small, basic and dated room. The TV was from the 60s and the picture quality was as bad. The temperature in the room was unbearable because of the hot weather and the windows would not open to let the air in The bar area was overcrowded because of all the coach trips and then you meet the bar staff. The most obnoxious couple of male waiters I have ever met. Neither obviously wanted to be there let alone serve customers. The food was hot, with a reasonable choice and adequate both at dinner and breakfast, after all this is a budget Hotel. If you want waiter service and table cloths you have to pay the price.

On arrival you are greeted with the most miserable, sad case of what they obiousley try to call staff/receptionist's you could ever meet. The rooms are so hot you need to sleep in the hallway just to be able to breath. We booked breakfast for two days and only needed one day when we asked for a refund we where asked if we payed cash (which we did) and was told they do not do cash refunds!!! Breakfast was an experience: cold tea with only one spoon for sugar severed from a desert bowl, juice run out and had to ask for some more, toast, beans and mushrooms runout with people waiting, I sat down finished my breakfast (if that's what you could call it) before the next lot of toast even appeared!!!!! TERRIBLE .... I would advise any one to think again even the bathroom floor in our room was dirty our mates room the bath leaked all over the floor! Overall don't put yourself through it or even more so your family

went with national holidays on a four day trip.Had to wait ages to get our key. lift was an old fashioned one. We ended up carrying our cases up 2 flights of stairs. we got to our room it smelled of smoke, the wardrobe was that small. We went to the reception. The girl changed the room . SO we than had to carry our cases once again, fro one side on the hotel to the other up and down stairs. This room a had a smell as we went in, but wasn't as bad as the smoke.Wallpaper was hanging of the ceiling. cobwebs in the corners, dust on the bed side light, don't think it had been dusted for weeks. Beds were so hard. On Tuesday we went out for the day, the beds weren't made, no teabags, sugar or milk left, they left towels which we didn't need as we had about 10 already in the wardrobe. There was a small piece of paper on the floor on Monday was still there on Thursday when we lefted. Never had any hot water, there was 5 coaches in, The evening meal was a bit busy, but food was good, plenty of choice breakfast was good one of the girls in the restaurent wasnt very nice to people all the rest were lovely special katie who was lovely. We have stayed here before for one night and had a lovely room. We walked to Puss in boots (public house) every night as hotel drinks were expensive, plus there wasn't enough seats. Nice hotel just the room are the let down.

Room Tip: there are a lot of steps.
