To start with, it's free. Also, there's loads of hats to try on. Finally, you might just learn something about an industry central to the history of the local area which you probably know very little about.
If you've got a couple of hours to spare and you're in Stockport it's definitely worth a visit, probably not something I'd go out of my way to see if I didn't live so close though.
The history of the industry and the techniques used are truly very interesting for those interested in that sort of thing, and the array of headwear on display will intrigue fashion followers. And of course kids and adults alike will love trying on the hats!
Be aware that they don't like photos being taken of the hats on display (to protect them from the light etc) but you can take photos in the trying on parts.
