“A great little find”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

When we went to the hat museum is was free to wander around with the option of a guided tour for a small fee. It's really interesting and well worth going to see. It's a place that changes its exhibits from time to time and when we went there was a display of miniture hats that had been made by local people who had to chose a theme using a Stockport Market Stall. The imaginations of the 'hatters' was fantastic and the designs were wonderful, there are some extremely talented people out there. Anyone interested in machinery will find it enjoyable and interesting too.

“interested in Hats....”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

Managed to get there on our third attempt! Excellent knowledgable tour guide, kept our interest for the whole of the tour. Great historical information .....some may think 'Hat Museum' boring.....believe me it's not. Give it a go, well worth the entrance fee of about £4.50 to include the full 1 hour tour. Such a shame they don't have a restaurant, particularly when you've travelled from Birmingham. But Debenhams over the road is a great stop off point.
